Tung Thien Ward presents gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and typical policy beneficiaries

On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025), from July 15 to 17, the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tung Thien ward organized a visit and presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Do Thi Tung and 14 war invalids, sick soldiers, relatives of martyrs, and resistance fighters infected with toxic chemicals...

At the places visited, the leaders of Tung Thien ward expressed their deep gratitude for the sacrifices and great contributions of martyrs, wounded and sick soldiers for the independence and freedom of the nation and wished that the families would continue to promote revolutionary traditions, overcome difficulties to build happy and prosperous families.

Chairman of the People's Committee of Tung Thien Ward Nguyen Viet Dat said: The Party Committee, government and people of Tung Thien Ward always respect the contributions, merits, sacrifices and losses of the previous generations; regularly pay attention to and care for the material and spiritual life of people with meritorious services and policy families. The tradition of "When drinking water, remember its source" is demonstrated through meaningful and practical actions such as: Strengthening propaganda and education work, reviewing revolutionary traditions, patriotism, raising awareness and responsibility of all levels, sectors and people in implementing preferential policies; increasing activities of visiting, giving gifts, medical examination and free medicine distribution to policy beneficiaries; organizing cleaning and sanitizing the grounds of martyr cemeteries in the area...

* Also on the morning of July 17 , At Trung Son Tram Primary School, the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tung Thien Ward coordinated with Military Hospital 105 (General Department of Logistics and Technology) to organize a program to examine, provide health consultation and provide free medicine for 147 policy beneficiaries in the area.

The working group of Military Hospital 105, including 25 doctors, pharmacists, nurses, technicians with medical equipment and machinery, examined, checked health, consulted, and provided medicine to wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, resistance fighters infected with toxic chemicals, and meritorious people in the ward.

At the program, doctors performed general examinations, measured blood pressure, performed ultrasounds, performed electrocardiograms, examined ears, nose, throat, teeth, jaws, and face; provided free medication based on indications; provided nutritional advice, and instructed on how to self-care for some common diseases...

For cases of chronic diseases requiring long-term treatment, doctors provide dedicated and thoughtful guidance and referrals to specialized medical facilities for timely treatment.

Colonel Luong Van Luyen, Deputy Director of Military Hospital 105, said: In recent years, in addition to performing well the task of medical examination and health care for the people, the Party Committee and Board of Directors of the Hospital have also implemented many social security activities in the area, contributing with the local Party Committee and government to care for and show gratitude to policy families and meritorious people, while raising people's awareness in health care, building the great national unity bloc, and strengthening people's trust in the Party, State and Army.
