This year’s festival saw the participation of 21 groups and ca tru clubs, along with a number of independent contestants, who performed 16 group pieces and 105 individual pieces – double the number of the previous year. Contestants ranged in age from 8 to 86, demonstrating the enduring vitality and widespread influence of ca tru in the community.
This year, in addition to costumes, space and performance harmony, the organizers also pay special attention to the element of "correct manner and style" of the traditional art standards of Ca Tru. Contestants are also classified by age to ensure fairness in judging.

The 2025 Hanoi Ca Tru Festival promises to be an opportunity to gather, exchange and search for talented female singers, zither players and drum players, following in the footsteps of their ancestors to preserve and promote heritage values.
Ca Tru is a unique folk performing art form of our nation, which has long affirmed its value in the treasure trove of Vietnamese cultural heritage. Ca Tru was also recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding in 2009.
Hanoi is currently the leading locality in the country in the field of intangible cultural heritage with 131 artisans. Of these, 32 Ca Tru artisans have been awarded titles, contributing to gradually removing this art from the status of "urgent need for protection".
