On behalf of the Head of the General Department of Logistics and Technology, Colonel Le Van Dong, Deputy Director of the Military Medical Department, General Department of Logistics and Technology, attended and directed the military departure ceremony.
The General Department of Logistics and Engineering established three military medical teams in three locations: Linh Son ward, Thai Nguyen province; Yen Binh commune, Lang Son province; Tien Luc commune, Bac Ninh province.

The Military Medical Teams will coordinate with the Military Medical Force of Military Region 1 and medical staff of Thai Nguyen, Lang Son, and Bac Ninh provinces to spray, disinfect, and treat the environment and domestic water in residential areas, schools, medical stations, public areas, and long-term flooded areas.
The military medical team will also guide people in collecting and burying garbage and animal carcasses, and clearing sewers. They will focus on preventing common diseases after floods such as acute diarrhea, pink eye, dermatitis, dengue fever, intestinal diseases, and diseases caused by polluted water.
In addition, educate people to eat cooked food and drink boiled water, maintain personal hygiene, and not use contaminated water. Monitor epidemics, detect early, isolate, and promptly handle any signs of disease outbreaks.
The Army Medical Corps also coordinated with local military and civilian medical forces to organize mobile medical teams to go to isolated villages, hamlets, and residential areas to examine patients, provide medicine, and provide disease prevention instructions to the people. At the same time, it supported localities in vaccination, disinfection, distribution of medical supplies and disease prevention drugs; and ensured military medical support for the forces of the units on duty.
Colonel Le Van Dong requested 3 medical teams to be proactive, urgent, and promptly present at the damaged areas as soon as possible to grasp the situation and immediately deploy epidemic prevention and control measures. Close coordination and cooperation between units, Military Region 1 Medical Corps and local functional forces.
The army also deployed measures appropriate to the actual situation, ensuring safety for the task force and the people; assigned specific forces, controlled progress, and synthesized and reported results promptly.

The Deputy Director of the Military Medical Department believes that with careful preparation and a high sense of responsibility, the three military medical teams, together with the Military Medical Force of Military Region 1 and local medical staff, will wholeheartedly serve the people and provide timely and effective medical support.
At the conference on the afternoon of October 10, Major General Phung Ngoc Son, Deputy Chief of Staff, General Department of Logistics and Technology, emphasized that the agencies and units assigned with tasks must thoroughly grasp the motto "wherever the water rushes, there it is implemented" with a proactive, urgent, timely spirit, ensuring all aspects of material and medical equipment.
In particular, using Cloramin B to disinfect water sources in conditions of lack of clean water, especially in deep flood areas to prevent the growth of disease-causing bacteria.
The army will guide local medical facilities and people to collect and treat medical waste, handle animal carcasses; handle drilled wells, dug wells, flooded water tanks; and organize chemical spraying to kill disease-causing insects.
