
According to the People's Committee of Lang Son province, the floods from October 6 to now have injured 3 people; about 5,100 households have been affected; of which 10 houses collapsed, 2,158 houses were flooded, 2,577 houses were isolated, 249 houses had landslides, 55 houses were at risk of landslides, 42 outbuildings were damaged. Widespread flooding occurred in the communes of Yen Binh, Van Nham, Huu Lung, Tuan Son, Cai Kinh, That Khe, Trang Dinh, Quoc Viet...
Regarding agriculture, forestry and fishery, preliminary data shows that over 3,894 hectares of rice and 1,028 hectares of crops and vegetables were flooded, 30 hectares of fruit trees were broken, 58 hectares of forest were broken. 9 educational facilities were affected; 668 traffic points were eroded and flooded; many bridges, tunnels and roads were partially flooded, with landslides of over 50,165m³. 29 electric poles were broken, flooded causing widespread power outages and telecommunication network outages. In the whole province, over 100 irrigation works and items were damaged, with varying degrees of damage... Total estimated damage was over 1,050 billion VND.
In response to and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, the Civil Defense Command at all levels of Lang Son province mobilized armed forces and local forces to support people in overcoming the situation, prioritizing the evacuation of about 16,350 people in flooded areas; especially Yen Binh, Van Nham, and Yen Binh communes; providing about 5 tons of food and necessities to the communes, ensuring part of the people's needs.

Colonel Dam Xuan Bach, Deputy Commander of Lang Son Provincial Military Command, said that upon receiving the order, the Provincial Military Command immediately deployed forces and vehicles to the flooded areas to help people evacuate their property and people, without causing any loss of life. The unit will continue to deploy support to stabilize people's lives, especially in flooded areas.
Lang Son province is currently urgently focusing on implementing solutions to overcome the consequences of floods; emphasizing the mobilization and arrangement of adequate medical forces, ensuring medicine and medical supplies to treat injured and sick people. Localities carry out environmental sanitation and water sanitation, absolutely not allowing disease outbreaks after floods, creating a "double impact" on people's lives, especially in flooded areas. At the same time, quickly and effectively implement emergency support policies for poor households, near-poor households, and households in difficult circumstances to repair severely damaged houses; guide people, businesses, and cooperatives to restore agricultural and forestry production; support plant and animal varieties for production establishments, business households, and cooperatives.

According to Vice Chairman of Lang Son Provincial People's Committee Luong Trong Quynh, the province continues to review areas at risk of landslides, riverbank and stream landslides, and areas at high risk of natural disasters to have plans to relocate people to safe places, resolutely evacuate people from dangerous areas; resolutely direct people not to return to areas that have had landslides and are currently at high risk of further landslides. At the same time, there are plans to arrange temporary accommodation for households forced to relocate to stabilize their lives.
