Incorrect score conversion, University of Finance - Marketing apologizes to 75 candidates who failed unfairly and passed fictitious exams

According to the school, the error arose in the step of converting scores from English certificates to English subject scores in the admission combination. Due to an internal data processing error, some candidates had their scores calculated incorrectly, leading to changes in admission results.

UFM affirmed that this error is not related to the General Admission Support System of the Ministry of Education and Training but comes from the school's business process.

After reviewing all the records, the school reported in detail the list of affected candidates to the Department of Higher Education ( Ministry of Education and Training ) and implemented the following steps: Notify and supplement the list of candidates from failing to passing so that they can enroll according to their new admission wishes; Contact directly with candidates from passing to failing to adjust the results according to their next next wishes, and at the same time send official dispatches to related schools to support smooth admission; Send the updated list to the general admission system of the Ministry of Education and Training.

UFM representative emphasized that the school is committed to ensuring maximum benefits for candidates, while at the same time making the process public and transparent. The school also said that it will review and improve the admission process to avoid similar mistakes in the following years.

This year’s university entrance exam recorded a series of errors. Many candidates went from passing to failing or vice versa, at the Ho Chi Minh City Pedagogical University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport, Ho Chi Minh City Bank, Foreign Trade, Finance - Marketing.

On the afternoon of August 26, the Ministry of Education and Training said that it receives about 20-30 questions every day. The errors mainly lie in the input data (methods, conditions, admission criteria, proof of candidates' priority, foreign language certificates...). Most of the errors have been resolved in accordance with regulations and in a timely manner to ensure on-time enrollment.
