The entire Sa Pa mountains and forests seem to light up with golden terraced fields, glowing in the sunlight, like soft golden silk strips embracing the Northwestern mountains and forests.
Coming to Sa Pa at this time, visitors will admire a magnificent natural picture, where the land, sky and people are in harmony. Especially this year's Sa Pa ripe rice season coincides with the 4-day National Day holiday on September 2, very suitable for a long trip to explore the Northwest highlands.

The brilliant golden season in Sa Pa usually starts from the end of August and lasts until the end of September. The ideal places to see the rice fields are Muong Hoa valley, which is known as the "giant embroidery" of the H'Mong people, with each field softly curving and hugging the mountainside.
Ta Van and Ta Phin villages have a peaceful and simple beauty, with rice fields interspersed with wooden houses and smoke from kitchens at dusk. Meanwhile, Lao Chai and Y Linh Ho villages offer a wide-open view, where golden rice fields stretch to the horizon.
Those who prefer intimacy should choose to stay in homestays located in the middle of rice fields, where just opening the window you can feel the fragrant scent of ripe rice.

Sa Pa also has cafes right next to the terraced fields, so visitors can breathe in the scent of rice and sip strong coffee in the morning mist. Of course, not every land has that privilege.
One of the most “unique” viewing angles for the ripe rice season is the Sun World Fansipan Legend cable car cabin on the journey to conquer the Roof of Indochina - Fansipan. Each terraced field appears like layer upon layer of golden waves, weaving beautiful curves on that enchanting green carpet.

This year, the program to celebrate National Day 2.9 is implemented by Sun World Fansipan Legend in a very different way. With the message "Beloved Vietnam - Our Fatherland is radiant with flags and flowers", the tourist area encapsulates the pride and love of the country in a series of artistic, cultural and entertainment activities on the occasion, bringing visitors check-in corners with red flags and flowers, shows imbued with national pride.
From now until September 20, the tourist area applies a special promotion for Vietnamese tourists. When purchasing cable car tickets after 1:00 p.m., they will receive a complimentary dinner buffet with special highland cuisine at two restaurants, Van Sam and Hoa Hong, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

On a trip to Fansipan on the occasion of Independence Day, visitors can not only enjoy the feeling of touching the "roof of Indochina" but also immerse themselves in the jubilant atmosphere of the Ban May Golden Season festival.
The xoè dances, the bustling sound of the khen, the scent of new rice mixed with the autumn breeze bring people back to the joyful harvest season of the highland people. The interweaving of majestic landscapes and festival atmosphere makes the journey to Sa Pa during the ripe rice season a complete experience of both nature and culture.
It is no coincidence that Travel + Leisure - a famous American travel magazine - has ranked Sa Pa terraced fields in the list of the most beautiful terraced fields in the world. Only when standing in the golden space of the ripe rice season, people can truly understand why those "stairways" to the sky have become a symbol, captivating many tourists from far away.
Sa Pa's golden season is not only the season of ripe rice, but also the season of emotions, when every look, every breath touches the beauty of the land, sky and people of the Northwest.
