Nguyen Hoang Bao Tran, class 12A14, shared: "I have had a passion for fine arts since I was little and I am very happy that Buon Ma Thuot High School has an elective subject called Fine Arts for students to study. Under the guidance of the teacher, I have a more professional perspective on my favorite subject. The strokes are not simply a combination of colors but also have depth in the painting. The school has provided an ideal environment for me and my friends to study and compete healthily for development."
Tran Ngoc Doan Trang, class 12A14, affirmed that studying Fine Arts in high school is an important "first step" to build a foundation and pursue passion for careers related to this gifted subject (graphic design, architecture, fashion design, pedagogy, etc.). At school, Trang was introduced to and cultivated her love and passion for Fine Arts. Basic still life drawing lessons; getting acquainted with watercolors, acrylics; getting acquainted with pencils, charcoal, etc. were interesting and practical experiences.

In addition to studying theory, students of Buon Ma Thuot High School also practice drawing and have a gallery with many beautiful and valuable paintings made by teachers and students. After visiting the Fine Arts Club gallery, Nguyen Thanh Mai, a grade 11 student, shared: “The gallery has beautiful paintings imbued with the culture of the Central Highlands ethnic groups. The paintings are simple and everyday, with the teacher's own style, so my friends and I are very interested. Many friends also have paintings displayed at the gallery. My friends are the same age as me but they draw very well, so I really admire them.”
Fine Arts is one of the elective subjects for students according to the 2018 General Education Program at high school level. The curriculum focuses on developing aesthetic abilities, providing core knowledge with diverse learning topics (drawing, design, theory, art history, etc.) to help students with artistic talent get early career orientation; continue to pursue their passion. |
