Da Nang City Science Park will be built in Quang Phu ward.

Da Nang City Science Park Project with a scale of 200 hectares in Quang Phu Ward. Total investment of 500 million USD, in which the Ministry of Science and Technology proposed to allocate investment sources for research space, testing new technology, strategic technology 100 million USD; local budget and socialized sources 400 million USD.

The project is implemented in the form of public-private partnership (PPP). The expected implementation period is 2025 - 2035, divided into 3 phases: 2025 - 2027: Completing legal procedures, detailed planning, preparing detailed designs, investment estimates, and construction sites. 2027 - 2030: Completing technical infrastructure and the Research and Development Zone (R&D); some commercial facilities are ready to serve. 2030 - 2035: Continuing to call for and attract investment, completing the remaining functional areas.

The project aims to build an international-class science park, becoming a leading research and development center in high-tech fields (AI, IoT, renewable energy, biotechnology, new materials, etc.). It is a center for experimental deployment and testing of technology in industrial parks and new urban areas of the new city after the merger. At the same time, promote high-tech startups associated with existing human resources. Attract cooperation and contributions from international organizations and experts on smart urban technology. Create an ideal living, working and entertainment space, attracting the scientific community, businesses and tourists.

At the meeting, the leaders of the department and the locality discussed and clarified the contents of construction area, infrastructure, and traffic connection for the project. At the same time, the working group also surveyed some locations where the project is expected to be implemented in Quang Phu ward.
