Innovation Tech Challenge 2025 is a competition within the Technology Talent Development Project - Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC) for the 2024-2025 school year. The project has a major goal of training young generations of Vietnamese people with high technology capacity, aiming to successfully lead the Industrial Revolution 4.0 in Vietnam. Three technology capacity development courses for youth aged 13-22 were implemented in 69 schools (including junior high schools, high schools) and universities in 10/34 provinces and cities across the country. After 1 year of implementation, breakthrough results were recorded with nearly 7,000 students and teachers participating in these courses:
- Internet of Things (IoT) Course,
- Artificial Intelligence (AI) Course,
- Big Data Course
in addition to a (supplementary) Basic Programming Skills Course (Coding & Programming - C&P).
To provide maximum support for the project's success, Samsung Vietnam has built 2 "SIC Labs" located at:
- Duy Tan University, and
- National Innovation Center.
With an extremely modern training space equipped with a high-configuration computer system, many laptops and smart TVs, SIC students always have the best conditions to study, practice and research. The courses are a combination of two forms of Online Training (E-Learning) and Direct Training to reach students in many provinces and regions across the country as well as conveniently support and improve the capacity of learners throughout the program.

Innovation Tech Challenge 2025 is a competition within the Technology Talent Development Project - Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC) for the 2024-2025 school year. With the theme " RoboCup - Soccer Robot ", this year's competition has the participation of:
- 10 university teams, and
- 15 high school teams nationwide.
The teams must research, design and program two smart robot models, applying Artificial Intelligence (AI), image processing, sensors and automatic control. The robots are programmed to be able to move, coordinate tactics, and handle situations flexibly to perform direct competition tasks on a simulated football field. With the competition format of putting the ball into the net, the teams come up with strategies to shorten the movement time and put the ball into the net as quickly as possible.
In group B (or the university group), the DTU-TT team of Duy Tan University competed and won absolutely (scored 3 goals first within 3 minutes) against the following teams: UTC-RAI team of the University of Transport, PTIT-Golden Compass team of the Academy of Posts and Telecommunications Technology, Blueeyes team of the University of Technology, Vietnam National University, Hanoi and ACT-02 team of the Academy of Cryptography Engineering to win the first place in this group.
Next, the DTU-TT team of Duy Tan University:
- beat HUROS team of Hanoi University of Science and Technology in the Semi-final, and
- beat UTC-RAI team of University of Transport in the final match within 18 seconds to win first prize.
18 seconds to win is also a new record for this year's tournament.

Student Bui Thi Bich Hieu - Team leader of DTU-TT, majoring in Big Data & Machine Learning, School of Computer Science (SCS), Duy Tan University shared: “ Duy Tan University students have won the first prize twice in 2024 and 2023, so participating in this very meaningful playground, we have the aspiration to follow in the footsteps of our seniors to reach the highest position. The award we received today is an extremely meaningful milestone, the result of careful preparation, teamwork as well as the solid foundation of knowledge enthusiastically passed on by Duy Tan University teachers.
We have designed 2 competing robots:
- Robot Assist - responsible for moving flexibly in the home field, collecting the ball and passing it accurately to teammates, and
- Robot Striker - the main robot, capable of receiving the ball, handling situations and scoring decisive goals.
The perfect combination between the two robots helped us demonstrate flexible and stable gameplay and bring about optimal goals in the matches.
In addition to modern hardware design, the DTU-TT team also focused on developing AI and Machine Learning algorithms to improve automation and smart decision-making capabilities for the two robots. Deployment and testing in Computer Labs, IoT, STEM & FAB Labs, etc. at Duy Tan University helped the team stay close to reality, verify effectiveness and quickly adjust strategies. From there, the team gained an outstanding advantage, contributing to a convincing victory after only 18 seconds against the opponent. The First Prize we achieved is not only the pride of the DTU-TT team, but also affirms the ability and desire to conquer of Duy Tan students in the technological 'arenas'.
After dramatic competitions, with outstanding abilities in robot design, the DTU-TT team of Duy Tan University ( Da Nang ) won the University competition while the LQĐ-Pioneers team of Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted (Da Nang) won the High School competition.
Dr. Vo Nhan Van, Head of the Faculty of Information Technology, School of Computer Science (SCS), Duy Tan University, who directly led the team to participate in the competition, shared: “ The Innovation Tech Challenge 2025 is a very useful academic and technological playground, where teams are challenged with problems that are both creative and require high practical application. The teams participating in this year's competition are all very serious, determined, have a lot of elaborate preparations and have very good competition results when one team scored 3 goals in just 22-23 seconds in the round-robin group.
The DTU-TT team of Duy Tan University was very confident and creative when designing robots with many outstanding features, in which they used mecanum wheels for both the Assist and Stricker robots, allowing flexible multi-directional movement without turning their heads. In addition, they also integrated an 'encoder' combined with an IMU, helping to orient and move accurately. The precise kicking mechanism, along with the smart ball retrieval and serving mechanism, all created a superior technical advantage compared to other teams. Not only focusing on speed, the DTU-TT team also prioritized stability in operation, thanks to which in all matches, the team won absolutely with impressive achievements. This is a clear demonstration of the creativity, high technique and brave competitive spirit of Duy Tan University students.

In the university block, Samsung awarded the following prizes:
- First Prize : DTU-TT team of Duy Tan University,
- Second Prize : UTC-RAI team of University of Transport
- Third Prize :
- ICTU Robotics Team of School of Information and Communication Technology, Thai Nguyen University, and
- HUROS team of Hanoi University of Science and Technology.
At the event, Samsung also awarded scholarships to many of the most outstanding students of the SIC 2024-2025 program. 3 students of Duy Tan University, Bui Thi Bich Hieu, Vo Ngoc Trung and Nguyen Dang Thinh, received Samsung Scholarships for their efforts and outstanding achievements in studying. The Samsung Innovation Campus project was officially launched globally in 2019. This is one of Samsung's typical social responsibility programs, which has expanded to 40 countries around the world such as the US, Germany, Spain, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand,...

Duy Tan University has added Food Technology and Construction Engineering Technology majors that meet ABET standards.
