Exciting playground "Finding heritage"

(GLO)- The program "Finding Heritage" in 2025, organized by Pleiku Museum in coordination with 8 high schools in the western region of the province on October 19, took place very excitingly with the participation of 500 students.

The large yard in the Pleiku Museum campus became a place for students to compete in knowledge, ingenuity and collective strength. This is the second time Pleiku Museum has coordinated to organize this "play while learning - learn while playing" activity, helping students experience and learn to love and be aware of preserving and promoting the values ​​of the nation's cultural heritage.

The "Golden Bell" contest format is not new, but it is always the content that candidates look forward to with good knowledge about the life and career of President Ho Chi Minh , nature, people, heritage, and relics of Gia Lai province.

At this playground, a number of candidates who had not updated the situation of the (new) Gia Lai province after the merger had to "sweat on their foreheads" with questions related to the province's geographical location; the ethnic groups that have lived there for a long time; the adjacent areas after the merger; the number of commune-level administrative units; the national highways passing through the province; the intangible cultural heritages that have been honored by UNESCO... Many schools had to quickly use their rescue rights to bring their candidates back to the competition stage.

Student Bui Ha My (class 11A1, Chi Lang High School) commented that many questions in this exam have similar answers and are riddles, so candidates who do not have a firm grasp of the knowledge are easily eliminated.

“Although I had to leave the field at the 10th question, through this playground, I was able to update a lot of useful knowledge about the life and career of Uncle Ho, the relics and cultural heritage of the province... I also realized the parts of knowledge that I had not learned deeply so I can invest in and update more” - My said.

Skillfulness and creativity were also highlighted in the program through the contest "I make pottery on a turntable". According to the requirements of the Organizing Committee, each team practiced on-site techniques of making pottery on a turntable and completed 5 products, then decorated with patterns. Many typical images and patterns of the highlands were beautifully shaped and depicted by the contestants on ceramic products such as: wild sunflowers, coffee beans, rice flowers, 8-sided suns, communal houses, gongs...

Notably, the set of 5 mini jars of the Gia Lai Province Ethnic Boarding High School No. 2, in which the large jar represents the generation of grandparents and ancestors; the small jars represent the younger generation, the recipients and promoters of cultural values. Explaining the indispensable items in all festivals of indigenous people such as weddings, ear-blowing ceremonies, new rice celebrations, etc., the representative of the Gia Lai Province Ethnic Boarding High School No. 2 expressed the hope that after the merger, the unique and rich traditional values ​​of the ethnic groups in the province will continue to be preserved and spread.

At the program, the joyful and exciting team spirit was also promoted through the most attractive competitions such as: Bamboo jumping, tug of war, sack jumping, blindfolded pig catching...

Le Thi Yen Vy (class 12C1, Pleiku High School) said: "This is the first time I have participated in such a fun and interesting playground. From here, I have learned more useful knowledge and understood more about the national cultural identity."

On the afternoon of October 19, the Organizing Committee closed and awarded prizes for each competition. Specifically, Hung Vuong High School for the Gifted took the lead in the "Ring the Golden Bell" and blindfolded pig catching competitions; Le Loi High School won first prize in sack jumping. Gia Lai Province's Ethnic Boarding High School No. 2 won the first prize overall. The second prizes went to Nguyen Chi Thanh High School and Pleiku High School. The third prizes went to Phan Boi Chau High School, Hung Vuong High School for the Gifted, and Le Loi High School. Hoang Hoa Tham High School and Chi Lang High School were awarded consolation prizes.

In the explosive atmosphere of the team with the most outstanding achievements of the program, Dang Siu Ngoc Hoa (class 12D) excitedly shared: "Students of Gia Lai Province's Ethnic Boarding High School No. 2 study when they study, play when they play.
