Coach Issara Sritaro asked to resign

This failure not only caused the "War Elephants" to lose the gold medal but also caused continuous turmoil within their organization.

Most recently, many opinions said that coach Issara Sritaro should resign after the poor performance of U22 Thailand.

“Coming to the SEA Games with a lot of expectations, U22 Thailand did not play well. I think those responsible should look back at themselves.

Coach Issara Sritaro should resign. Looking at the quality of the players, I am sure that U22 Thailand will win the SEA Games gold medal.

He needs to take responsibility. There are still many coaches out there who want to help Thai teams develop.

We still have many talented people who can take on this position. Those people will not have a chance if coach Issara Sritaro keeps holding on to his position,” said former Thai football star Sarayoot Chaikamdee.

Previously, after the final match had 7 red cards, the Football Association of Thailand (FAT) affirmed that it would investigate and severely punish those involved in the brawl.

“We are truly disappointed and would like to apologize to the audience and the 32nd SEA Games Organizing Committee for the incident in the men's football final.

We will set up an investigation committee to urgently find out the cause of the fight and will have appropriate punishment for those involved in this incident,” said FAT President Somyot Poompanmoung.

Not only that, many Thai football fans also expressed their indignation after player Jonathan Khemdee threw away his medal after the final match.
