Speaking at the event, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh congratulated Prof. Dr. Dinh Xuan Dung and his colleagues on continuing to produce works of profound cultural value.
Permanent Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh said that the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is being assigned to draft the Politburo Resolution on Revival and Development of Vietnamese Culture in the New Era. During the drafting process, the Ministry consulted experts and scientists, including Prof. Dr. Dinh Xuan Dung and his works.
In particular, the book series "Contemporary Vietnamese Culture - Opportunities and Challenges" that has just been introduced was published at the right time and is very valuable for the research work of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Emphasizing that each period of development of our country over the past thousands of years has been associated with brilliant cultural development, Permanent Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh expressed his hope that experts, scientists and cultural researchers will continue to contribute their values to the development of national culture. At the same time, accompany the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to build a healthy, civilized and modern cultural environment, a brilliant Vietnamese culture worthy of the new era, the era of wealth and prosperity.

These works not only contribute to affirming the pioneering role and foundation of national culture but also have the meaning of shaping and orienting theory to improve the spiritual life of society.
At the same time, the works have also fostered mettle, nurtured the aspiration to develop the country, met the requirements of the new era, and affirmed the lasting vitality of Ho Chi Minh's thought in today's reality.

The newly introduced works include 12 books, including "Contemporary Vietnamese Culture - Opportunities and Challenges" by Professor, Dr. Dinh Xuan Dung (National Political Publishing House Truth); and two book series co-edited and compiled by Professor, Dr. Dinh Xuan Dung with Professor, Dr. Nguyen Nhu Y and colleagues. These are the 6-book series "Ho Chi Minh's Philosophy - Priceless Spiritual Assets of the Party and Our Nation" (Information and Communication Publishing House) with the participation of Dr. Nguyen Chi Dat, Dr. Vu Thuy Duong and the 5-book series "Ho Chi Minh Bookcase - Vietnamese Women Follow Uncle Ho's Words" (Vietnamese Women Publishing House).
In the context of a developing country with outstanding achievements in politics - economy - society, security - defense, achievements in the cultural field have not really developed commensurate with the potential and revealed certain "lags", the work "Contemporary Vietnamese Culture - Opportunities and Challenges" by Professor, Dr. Dinh Xuan Dung is a collection of surveys, research, and experience drawn from practice and theory over the past many years of a scientist who has worked and researched in the field of culture for many years, mentioning the opportunities, prospects and directions to turn challenges into driving forces for the sustainable development of the country in the new era, making culture truly become the spiritual foundation of society, the goal and driving force to promote the development of the country.
The book covers 5 main contents. The first part "Some theoretical issues on the development of contemporary Vietnamese culture" is an article on the theory of Vietnamese cultural development from the process of movement, especially in the period of innovation and integration, expressing the general category of contemporary culture of the nation and specific aspects of the country's culture today, bearing the mark of progress and strong identity.
The second part, "On cultural values", has 7 essays which are research works contributing to locating and analyzing in both breadth and depth the contemporary Vietnamese cultural value systems. The third part, "Initial assessment of Vietnamese cultural practices since the 13th National Party Congress", provides in-depth analysis, feelings, suggestions, and assessments of modern Vietnamese cultural practices from many perspectives.
The fourth part "Promoting the cultural potential of regions" and the fifth part "Promoting the cultural strength in building armed forces in the new period" of the book mention and clarify the role and importance in promoting the potentials that need to be further opened and developed in local culture as well as the image of Uncle Ho's soldiers, a dialectical blend of Vietnamese culture with important contributions to the cause of innovation, construction and protection of the Fatherland.

The 6-volume book series "Ho Chi Minh's Philosophy - the invaluable spiritual asset of our Party and people" was also launched, including the volumes: "Ho Chi Minh's Philosophy on the Party and State", "Ho Chi Minh's Philosophy on Great Unity", "Ho Chi Minh's Philosophy on Culture, Education, Science and Technology", "Ho Chi Minh's Philosophy on Armed Forces", "Ho Chi Minh's Philosophy on Foreign Affairs", "Ho Chi Minh's Philosophy on Personnel Work" compiled from the careful selection and condensation of tens of thousands of pages in "Ho Chi Minh Complete Works".
