TPO - After the end of the second semi-final match between the Vietnamese and Australian women's football teams, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh went from stand A to Lach Tray football field to visit and encourage the coaching staff and players.

On the evening of August 16, at Lach Tray Stadium ( Hai Phong ), the 2nd semi-final match of the Southeast Asian Women's Football Championship took place between the Vietnamese women's team and U23 Australia.
More than 16,000 fans wearing red shirts with yellow stars in the AB stands of Lach Tray football field cheered enthusiastically for the Vietnamese women's football team.
In the first half, the Australian women's team took the lead with goals from Aideen Keane and McKenna.
After the break, Lach Tray Stadium welcomed a special fan, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh .
Thousands of enthusiastic fans from the stands continuously fueled the Vietnamese team to play more confidently. In the final minutes of the match, Bich Thuy scored to shorten the gap. However, the Vietnamese women's team could not close the gap and lost with a final score of 1-2.
After the match, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh went down to the field to meet and encourage the coaching staff and the female players. At the press conference, coach Mai Duc Chung shared that the coaching staff and the players thanked the Prime Minister for his encouragement and promised to try their best in the upcoming bronze medal match.
