Ho Chi Minh City in the next 5 years through the targets of the 1st Party Congress

With a system of 30 targets presented to the Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress, the appearance of the super city of Ho Chi Minh City by 2030 will have modern infrastructure, and people will enjoy a better quality of life.

From October 13 to 15, the first Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030, will take place at the Ho Chi Minh City Academy of Officials (Chu Van An Street, Binh Thanh Ward) with the participation of 550 delegates.

This is the first congress of Ho Chi Minh City after the merger of Binh Duong and Ba Ria - Vung Tau . Currently, Ho Chi Minh City has a population of more than 14 million people, an area of ​​more than 6,700 ^km2 , contributing nearly 1/4 of GDP (gross domestic product) and about 1/3 of the total national budget revenue.

According to the draft political report submitted to the Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress, the locality has set a goal that by 2030 - the 100th anniversary of the Party's founding - it will become a civilized, modern urban area, a center of innovation, dynamism, and integration leading the country's industrialization and modernization, with a prominent position in Southeast Asia, among the top 100 global cities, worth living and with an innovative ecosystem in the world, and belonging to the high-income group.

With a vision to the 100th anniversary of the country's founding (2045), Ho Chi Minh City will be among the top 100 cities in the world, worthy of being an international megacity of Southeast Asia, an economic , financial, tourism, service, educational, and medical center of Asia, an attractive global destination, with distinctive and sustainable economic, cultural, and social development, high quality of life, and deep international integration.

To concretize the above strategic goals, Ho Chi Minh City sets 30 main targets in 5 areas: economy, society, urban and environment, national defense and security, and Party building.

• October 13 (Preparatory Session)

- Visiting the Ho Chi Minh City Martyrs Cemetery and offering flowers at the Ho Chi Minh President Monument
- Approving the working program, working regulations, congress rules, a report summarizing comments on the draft documents of the 14th Party Congress, electing the Presidium, Secretariat, and the Delegate Qualifications Review Board, and supporting people to overcome flood consequences.

• October 14 (Official Session)

- Morning:

+ Opening the congress; announcing and handing over the decisions of the Politburo and the Secretariat appointing the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, the Inspection Committee and the Chairman of the Inspection Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.

+ Party leaders gave directions at the congress.
