According to the construction unit, equipment for raising the clearance is being transported to the construction site, ready for raising the clearance of Binh Phuoc 1 bridge. It is expected that on October 15, the implementation of raising the clearance of the main bridge will begin.
A system of more than 100 hydraulic jacks is arranged under the bridge pillars and girders; each jack can withstand a load of 400 - 500 tons, centrally controlled by computer with an error of less than 1mm.



Binh Phuoc 1 Bridge is nearly 480m long, more than 11m wide, and has been in operation since 2003 with a clearance of less than 6m, not meeting the minimum standard of 7m according to waterway traffic planning.
After being raised to 7m, the bridge will meet navigation requirements, contributing to reducing waterway traffic congestion at the eastern gateway of Ho Chi Minh City, while increasing connectivity between the City and Tay Ninh and the Southeast provinces.



According to the plan, Binh Phuoc 1 Bridge will be raised by 1.25m and completed by the end of this year. When the bridge's clearance is synchronized with other bridges on the Saigon River, it will help develop waterway traffic.
