During the recent storms No. 10 and 11, Kien Thiet commune was one of the remote communes that suffered heavy damage. The floods caused many villages in the commune to be submerged, over 200 households were isolated and had to be urgently evacuated, 3 schools had to temporarily close, over 111 hectares of crops were damaged, many roads were seriously eroded; the total damage amounted to tens of billions of VND.
