
Union member Nguyen Thi Mong Thi, a worker at the Tra Vinh branch of Yazaki EDS Vietnam Co., Ltd., emotionally shared that she and her husband have to raise two small children, so their income is only enough to cover their daily living expenses. After living in a dilapidated thatched house for more than 10 years, having a decent home is the long-standing dream of the whole family. She also expressed her deep gratitude to the Trade Union at all levels, and said that this is a great source of encouragement, helping her family have more confidence and determination to overcome difficulties, continue to work hard, and contribute to the development of the company.
Mr. Truong Thanh Dung, Standing Member of the Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation, said that caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers has always been the consistent goal of the Trade Union organization. The Provincial Labor Federation hopes that in warm and loving homes, workers will be motivated to overcome difficulties, strive to excel, and complete their tasks well at their agencies, units, and enterprises, contributing to the development of the locality and the country.

Since the beginning of the year, the Provincial Federation of Labor has handed over 59 Trade Union Shelters with a total support amount of nearly 3 billion VND from the Trade Union Shelter Fund. In the coming time, the operation of the Fund will be carried out in accordance with Decree No. 93/2019/ND-CP of the Government on the organization and operation of social and charity funds. Accordingly, the Provincial Federation of Labor has developed a Project and is submitting it to the competent authority for approval with many practical contents, continuing to care for the lives of workers, supporting housing and implementing projects to create jobs and livelihoods for workers in difficult circumstances...
The Trade Union Shelter Fund was established in 2006, in which the main source of funding comes from mobilizing union members at all levels to contribute voluntarily to share with people in difficult circumstances. Up to now, the Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation has disbursed a total of more than 101 billion VND from this fund to support the construction of nearly 3,300 Trade Union Shelters for union members in difficult circumstances who do not have stable housing.
