Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics announces early admission results

On June 20, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics (UEH) officially announced the results of the early admission methods for regular universities in 2023. At the same time, UEH announced the enrollment of 3 new majors in the field of Computer and Information Technology in the direction of application, multi-disciplinary integration, and multi-professional.

According to the UEH Admissions Council, in the 2023 regular university admission season, UEH will implement early admission methods including: Admission for candidates who graduated from foreign high school programs and have international certificates; admission for excellent students (PT Excellent Students); admission for the learning process according to subject combinations (PT Subject Combination) and admission based on the results of the capacity assessment test organized by Ho Chi Minh City National University, round 1, 2023 (PT Capacity Assessment).

This year, the benchmark scores of 51 training programs enrolling in Ho Chi Minh City (school code KSA) range from 47 - 77 points for Excellent Student Program and Subject Combination Program, and from 800 - 985 points for Competency Assessment Program. At UEH - Vinh Long Branch (school code KSV), the scores range from 40 - 48 and from 550 - 600, respectively.

According to the UEH Admissions Council, in general, the benchmark score in 2023 increased steadily compared to 2022. This has demonstrated the improvement of input quality, meeting the necessary conditions in the school's high-quality human resource training strategy.

In particular, the training programs of Business English, Economic Law, and International Business Law have had a sharp increase in standard scores compared to 2022, demonstrating the trend towards professions associated with internationalization factors. Notably, the Political Economy major, which was the first to be independently recruited, also has a relatively high standard score compared to many other traditional majors.

At the same time, the technology programs, especially the first-time enrollment programs, all have a large number of applications, associated with the multidisciplinary training strategy in the direction of Applied Technology in many fields of the school such as Data Science, Software Engineering, E-commerce, Digital Media and Multimedia Design; Financial Technology, Marketing Technology, Logistics Technology (engineer training system), Digital Business, Robotics Engineering and Artificial Intelligence (5 new programs enrolling in 2023).

The Asean Co-op Bachelor training program (training combining theory with practice and international environment in ASEAN countries) has attracted many applications for the first time. The admission score of this program is very high and equal to the benchmark score of the ISB BBUS talented bachelor training program, which has affirmed its brand and quality over a long period of time.

The UEH Admissions Council added that, in addition to the 51 announced training programs, this year the school will enroll students based on the 2023 high school graduation exam scores for 3 new majors in the field of Computer Science and Information Technology in the direction of application, multi-disciplinary integration.

The UEH Admissions Council notes that candidates notified by UEH that they meet the admission score requirements need to register their admission wishes on the Ministry of Education and Training's Admissions Portal from July 10, 2023 to 5:00 p.m. on July 30, 2023.
