Figures from the independent box office revenue statistics site Box Office Vietnam show that the revenue of "Fight to the Death in the Sky" at 11 p.m. on September 24 was 107.3 billion VND.

“Fight to the Death in the Air” is directed by Ham Tran, with many talented actors such as Thai Hoa, Kaity Nguyen, Thanh Son, Xuan Phuc, Tram Anh, Bao Dinh, Loi Tran, Ma Ran Do… The film tells the story of a plane hijacking based on real events in the young Vietnamese aviation industry after the liberation day.

According to Major General Do Trieu Phong, Director of the People's Public Security Communications Department, Ministry of Public Security , this is a real case, after the country's reunification, suppressed by the predecessors of the current aviation security force. Cinema only recreates part of the incident, the reality is much more brutal. The work is a tribute to the predecessors of the security force, and is also a meaningful event to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

“Death Battle in the Air” is not only based on documents and footage of real plane hijackings, but also has advice from people who directly participated in these cases, such as former bodyguard Nguyen Dac Thoai, former flight attendant Dam Thi Le Hang...

Thus, "Air Deathmatch" reached a revenue of 100 billion VND after only 5 days of release, becoming one of the fastest films to reach the 100 billion mark in Vietnamese cinema.
