Propaganda on marriage and family law, early marriage and incestuous marriage

On the evening of December 9, at Kim Thuong commune, Tan Son district, the district's Ethnic Affairs Department coordinated with the District Youth Union to organize a discussion program and cultural exchange to propagate the law on marriage and family, early marriage and incestuous marriage for the people of the communes: Kim Thuong, Xuan Dai, Xuan Son.

This is one of the contents of Sub-Project 2 of Project 9 under the National Target Program on Socio -Economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas for the 2021-2030 period on Reducing Child Marriage and Consanguineous Marriage in Ethnic Minority Areas.

At the propaganda session, people and youth union members watched skits, films, and vivid, visual stories about the consequences of early marriage, the consequences of incestuous marriage, and listened to information about the regulations on marriage age for men and women according to the 2014 Law on Marriage and Family, and legal regulations related to early marriage and incestuous marriage.

The program attracted a large number of people to participate.

Through the propaganda session, the People and Youth Union members will better understand the law on marriage and family; the consequences and implications of early marriage and incestuous marriage for themselves, their families and society, while contributing to raising awareness and mobilizing to eliminate backward customs, join hands to prevent and end early marriage and incestuous marriage, and protect the future of the young generation in ethnic minorities and mountainous areas.
