Born in 1986, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Quoc Trung is from Nam Phuoc town, Duy Xuyen district, Quang Nam province (old).
Immediately after graduating from Foreign Trade University, Tran Quoc Trung was retained to teach at the school. From a young lecturer, he gradually took on many important management positions such as deputy head of professional department, head of professional department. From April 2020 (when he was 34 years old) until now, he has been Deputy Director of Campus II of Foreign Trade University, Ho Chi Minh City.
Associate Professor Tran Quoc Trung was well-trained in leading educational environments in the country and internationally. He graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Foreign Economics from the Foreign Trade University (2008); a Master's degree in Business Administration from the Foreign Trade University (2011); a Master's degree in Law, Economics and Management - majoring in Banking and Finance from the University of Lille 2, France (2012); a Doctorate in Management Science from the University of Lille 2, France (2017). In 2020, at the age of 34, he was recognized as an Associate Professor in Economics.

To date, Associate Professor Tran Quoc Trung has published 76 scientific articles, of which 35 are published in prestigious international journals (24 articles in the SSCI category, 11 articles in Scopus/ESCI); 27 articles in which he is the main author or sole author; 14 international articles were published after he was recognized as an associate professor. In addition, he has 40 domestic articles and 1 international article online.
He is also the author and co-author of 8 books, including 2 monographs (1 full book, 1 with 4 chapters); 1 textbook, 5 monographs published by prestigious publishers. In addition, he is the head of 1 national-level project, 1 Nafosted Fund project, 1 grassroots project and implemented 1 technology transfer project for enterprises.

He has taught at both undergraduate and graduate levels and has been accredited by the University of New Brunswick (Canada) and the University of Bedfordshire (UK) for teaching standards in international joint programs. His teaching methods aim to promote critical thinking, creativity and initiative in learners.
In the two years 2023-2024, he guided student groups to achieve many achievements: Second prize at the Ministry level in the "Science and Technology for University Students" award; 2 First prizes at the School level in the "Student Scientific Research" competition.
He also accompanied young lecturers and students to publish many articles at home and abroad, contributing to building a dynamic academic environment at Foreign Trade University, Ho Chi Minh City Campus II.
Associate Professor Tran Quoc Trung always considers scientific research and technology transfer as the core part of university teaching activities. He actively conducts many research topics at all levels, actively publishes monographs for training and expands international academic cooperation.
In his role as Deputy Director of Campus II, he is in charge of training and scientific management, has given comments, participated in policy planning, developed training programs and improved research quality of Foreign Trade University.
