"Secret Garden Live in Vietnam" - Spreading music for charity

On October 17, in Hanoi, Nhan Dan Newspaper and IB Group Vietnam held a press meeting with the legendary duo Secret Garden before the special show "Secret Garden Live in Vietnam".

The Secret Garden Live in Vietnam program is the third concert within the framework of the international music project series for the community "Good Morning Vietnam" initiated and implemented by Nhan Dan Newspaper and IB Group Vietnam, after the success of the two events "Kenny G Live in Vietnam" and "Bond Live in Vietnam".

Not only is it a bridge to bring world- class music to domestic audiences, the organizers of "Good Morning Vietnam" also want to promote the image of Vietnam to the world through the MVs of international artists participating in the program. Like previous years, all revenue from ticket sales for the concert will be used for charity - a humanitarian purpose maintained by Nhan Dan Newspaper and IB Group Vietnam.

Unlike the event of two years ago, when Kenny G and the band Bond performed in Vietnam, the legendary duo Secret Garden will perform in Vietnam for the first time. The Secret Garden Live in Vietnam concert is also the opening point of Secret Garden's World tour to celebrate the band's 30th anniversary this year.

Speaking at the event, Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association Le Quoc Minh said: "With Secret Garden, it took us 2 years to arrange a schedule to perform in Vietnam. Vietnam is also the first destination in the tour celebrating the band's 30th anniversary. Secret Garden's music is extremely special, it can relieve difficulties and dispel fatigue in life. And with their melodies, we find that nothing is more suitable for the scenery of Ninh Binh. The MV will be filmed here with mountains, rivers and majestic nature."

The organizers said that Secret Garden's performance in Hanoi will be performed in a common format and meet international standards in terms of stage and sound. Secret Garden will bring a collection of works that have made their name, divided into three main themes: nature; beautiful scenery, human relationships; culture. With a minimalist stage setting style, honoring the storytelling through sound, Vietnamese audiences will be led through a poetic journey of enjoyment. From "wordless" melodies rich in imagery to hybrid songs between classical and Nordic-Celtic folk, suitable for the sophisticated enjoyment space of Vietnamese audiences during the autumn days in Hanoi.

Sharing at the press conference, artist Fionnuala Sherry said the band was very happy to be in Vietnam for the first time and they felt that performing within the framework of the program "Good morning Vietnam" was very meaningful.

He also revealed that, after the show in Hanoi, Secret Garden will continue their tour in major cities in China before returning to Norway, but Vietnam was chosen as the opening point for the World tour celebrating 30 years of their career because the group felt the warm affection and passion for music of the Vietnamese audience.

In particular, the legendary duo Secret Garden hopes that, not only will they perform music in Vietnam, but in the near future they will have the opportunity to collaborate with Vietnamese artists so that their music will be performed in many other versions.

Secret Garden consists of 2 members, Fionnuala Sherry (female) and Rolf Løvland (male) founded in 1994. Rolf Lovland was born in 1955, started composing at the age of 9, and is known as the most excellent songwriter. He received a master's degree from the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo, represented his homeland in the 1985 Eurovision contest and won the championship. At the same time as founding the group "Secret Garden", Rolf won a Norwegian Grammy Award and is one of the most famous composers in the country with 60 songs on the radio chart of the Norwegian national radio channel. Fionnuala Sherry is Irish, has been playing the violin since the age of 8, graduated from the Dublin College of Music and has 10 years of experience in the RTE Symphony Orchestra. The combination of two top artists with different musical styles makes their music both academic and conquers the mass audience with its own distinct Nordic quality.
