Viet Yen: Spreading the message "live happily - live healthily - live usefully"

BAC NINH - On October 17, at the Cultural House of the People's Committee of Viet Yen Ward, the Department of Population and Children of Bac Ninh Province coordinated with the Viet Yen Medical Center and the Association of the Elderly of Viet Yen Ward to organize the contest "Learning about knowledge of health care for the elderly in 2025". This is a practical activity in response to the Action Month for the Elderly in Vietnam in 2025.

The contest attracted the participation of 4 teams from the elderly associations of Viet Yen ward, including: Hong Thai, Minh Duc, Bich Dong, Nghia Trung.

Teams choose answers in the Healthy Living competition.

The teams went through 3 rounds: “Greetings”, “Healthy Living” and “Happy Living”. In the Greetings section, through dramatization, the teams introduced their localities, the spirit of participating in the competition, and the outstanding results of the elderly association’s activities. Thereby spreading the message of “living happily - living healthily - living usefully”.

In the "healthy living" contest, members answered multiple-choice questions about population knowledge, health care, nutrition, exercise and disease prevention common in the elderly.

The “Happy Living” contest was an attractive highlight with special art performances such as singing, dancing, propaganda skits, poetry recitations, etc. demonstrating the talent, creativity and optimism of the elderly.

The Organizing Committee awarded First Prize to Bich Dong team.

Amidst the enthusiastic cheers of the crowd, the teams completed their competitions with excellence. Bich Dong team, with their elaborate investment and outstanding performances, won the overall victory and was awarded the first prize by the Organizing Committee.

In addition to the official competitions, on the sidelines of the competition, there will be interactions with the audience with interesting knowledge questions, helping to make the competition atmosphere more lively, connecting and spreading the message of universal health care.

The contest is organized to promote communication activities on population work and elderly health care; at the same time, create a useful and practical playground, an opportunity for the elderly to exchange, learn, share experiences, contributing to a happy, healthy and useful life.

The contest is also an opportunity to promote and enhance the role and responsibility of each individual, family, community and the whole society in health care, promoting the role of the elderly, gradually improving the quality of life, adapting to the aging population stage, contributing to the goal of improving population quality in the province.
