An Cu Commune People's Committee worked with Sao Mai Group on tourism development in Tra Su cajuput forest.
At the meeting, delegates listened to Sao Mai Group briefly explain the project "Ecotourism and resort area in Tra Su cajuput forest". The project has a scale of 28.4 hectares, with an estimated population of 800 people; has 4 functional sub-areas: Southern culture exhibition area, scale of over 3.5 hectares; entertainment area of nearly 3.4 hectares; resort accommodation area of over 11.4 hectares; ecological conservation area of over 10 hectares.
Tra Su Eco-tourism and Resort is oriented to become a space for experiencing Southern culture and ecology, combining natural landscapes, folk entertainment activities, typical cuisine and cultural displays.
At the meeting, leaders of An Cu commune's departments, offices and professional sectors expressed many opinions on the project. Among them, the investor was required to complete the legal basis to be eligible to carry out the project; Sao Mai Group needed to preserve the wildness of the existing tourist area; cultural and tourism activities must be in accordance with the customs and traditions of the Southern region.
Local leaders hope that Sao Mai Group will create conditions for training tourism workers, creating jobs for local people; for businesses to display, buy and sell local OCOP products. At the same time, research and create night tourism activities to retain tourists, contributing to the socio -economic development of An Cu commune.
