Chuyen My Commune organizes the 1st Sports Festival

The first Chuyen My Commune Sports Festival took place on the occasion of the whole city competing to achieve achievements to celebrate the 71st anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2025), welcoming the 18th Hanoi City Party Congress, term 2025-2030.

The first Chuyen My Commune Sports Festival was held to continue effectively implementing the movement "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho", associated with the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life", thereby arousing the spirit of sports practice in all classes of people. The Congress is also an opportunity to commend and honor outstanding collectives and individuals in the mass sports movement, and at the same time select outstanding athletes to participate in the City-level Sports Festival.

Speaking at the Congress, Party Secretary Le Quang Long emphasized that physical education and sports not only contribute to improving health and physical strength, but also train will and spirit, contributing to building comprehensively developed people.

Party Secretary Le Quang Long reiterated the teachings of President Ho Chi Minh : “Every weak citizen makes the whole country weak; every healthy citizen contributes to making the whole country strong. When the people are strong, the country is prosperous.”

The Party Secretary of the commune affirmed that in recent years, the Party Committee and the government of Chuyen My commune have always identified the development of physical education and sports as an important part of social policy, a practical task in building new people. Thanks to the attention and synchronous investment, the physical education and sports movement of the commune has increasingly spread widely, attracting a large number of people to participate. Many sports clubs have been established, mass competitions have been maintained regularly, creating a useful and healthy playground, improving health and connecting the community.

In order for the local physical education and sports movement to continue to develop sustainably, the Party Secretary of the commune requested all levels, sectors, organizations and people in the commune to perform well a number of key tasks. First of all, it is necessary to thoroughly grasp the resolutions and policies of the Party and State on physical education and sports, considering this an objective requirement, contributing to improving the quality of life and human resources serving socio -economic development. At the same time, continue to innovate content, diversify forms of propaganda, mobilize people to actively practice physical education and sports, build a healthy cultural environment, and strengthen the great national unity bloc.
