Giang Thanh commune organizes sports and art festival to celebrate Ok Om Bok

On October 22 and 23, the People's Committee of Giang Thanh commune (An Giang province) organized sports and cultural activities to celebrate the Ok Om Bok Festival 2025 of the Khmer people.

Giang Thanh Commune Party Secretary Ha Van Thanh Khuong presented trophies and souvenir flags to the winning teams in men's volleyball.

Vice Chairman of Giang Thanh Commune People's Committee Tran Ngoc Bich presented souvenir flags to the first, second and third place teams of the entire delegation.

There are 8 teams competing in sports such as boat racing, duck catching, tug of war, pot smashing, men's volleyball. 4 teams participate in art performances. In addition, the commune also organizes booths displaying cuisine and traditional cakes of the Khmer people.

Giang Thanh Commune People's Committee awarded first, second and third prizes to teams participating in sports, art performances and food stalls. Specifically, in the men's volleyball event, first prize was awarded to Phu My inter-hamlet team; first prize was awarded to Phu Loi inter-hamlet team in tug of war.

First prize in solo singing went to the Giang Thanh Commune Women's Union team; first prize in duet singing went to the Phu My Inter-Hamlet team; first prize in dance went to the Giang Thanh Commune Women's Union team. The Phu Loi Inter-Hamlet team won first prize in the food booth.

In the canoe racing category, for the women's pair, first prize went to the Phu Loi inter-hamlet team; second prize went to the Giang Thanh Commune Military Command team; third prize went to the Hoa Dien Commune team. For the men's pair, first prize went to the Phu Loi inter-hamlet team, second prize went to the Hoa Dien Commune team, third prize went to the Tan Khanh Hoa inter-hamlet team. For the mixed pair, first prize went to the Giang Thanh Commune Military Command team, second prize went to the Phu My inter-hamlet team, third prize went to the Tan Khanh Hoa inter-hamlet team.

Giang Thanh Commune People's Committee awarded the first prize to Phu Loi Hamlet Inter-Hamlet, the second prize to Phu My Hamlet Inter-Hamlet and the third prize to Giang Thanh Commune Military Command.
