Cho Vam Commune Youth Union helps 30 members escape poverty sustainably

On October 22 and 23, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Cho Vam commune (An Giang province) held its first Congress of delegates for the 2025-2030 term. Deputy Secretary of An Giang Provincial Youth Union Ho Thi Hong Phuong attended.

Delegates donated to support people in provinces affected by storms and floods before entering the congress.

Cho Vam Commune Party Committee presented a congratulatory banner to the congress.

During the past term, the Cho Vam Commune Youth Union has carried out 6 youth projects and tasks with a total value of over 893 million VND. Notably, it built 13 new Charity Houses for union members, built 2 Red Scarf Houses for students in difficult circumstances, and supported 320 scholarships for poor students who overcame difficulties to study well.

Activities to accompany young people in establishing their careers and careers have been promoted. The Commune Youth Union has coordinated with the Social Policy Bank to manage nearly 1.2 billion VND in preferential loans to support young people in economic development, helping 30 union members escape poverty sustainably.

The activities "Lighting up the dreams of youth", "Repaying gratitude", "Spring volunteering" were effectively implemented, contributing to spreading the beautiful image of the youth of Cho Vam.

The Congress announced the decision of the Standing Committee of An Giang Provincial Youth Union to appoint 19 comrades to participate in the Executive Committee of the first term; Comrade Tran Quoc Tuan holds the position of Secretary of the Cho Vam Commune Youth Union, term 2025 - 2030.

The Congress set out four main tasks with 15 specific targets and two breakthrough tasks for the new term.
