Appointing 29 comrades to join the Executive Committee of the Women's Union of Hon Dat commune, term 2025-2030

On the morning of October 23, the Women's Union of Hon Dat commune (An Giang province) held the 1st Congress of Women's Delegates of the commune, term 2025-2023.

Leaders of An Giang Provincial Women's Union and Hon Dat Commune Party Committee presented decisions and flowers to congratulate the Executive Committee of Hon Dat Commune Women's Union, term 2025-2030.

The Congress announced the decision of the Standing Committee of the An Giang Provincial Women's Union on appointing 29 comrades to join the Executive Committee of the Hon Dat Commune Women's Union for the 2025-2030 term. Ms. Dinh Thi Phuong Lan was appointed to hold the position of President of the Hon Dat Commune Women's Union for the 2025-2030 term.

In the period of 2021-2025, the Women's Union of Hon Dat commune established cooperative models, helping 4 women's households escape poverty and near-poverty each year; supporting 32 women to start businesses and start businesses successfully, achieving 100% of the target. The Union directed 25/25 hamlet branches to coordinate or register with the Party cell 1 project/part of work to contribute to building a new rural commune and civilized urban area.

The Women's Union of Hon Dat commune has built 4 models of joint groups and cooperative groups to develop production, supporting resources through the activity of entrusting loan capital from banks. Up to now, the association has received entrustment from the Social Policy Bank, with a total outstanding loan balance of 69 billion VND for 1,666 households; coordinated to organize vocational training counseling and job introduction for 5,000 members to work in companies and factories in and outside the province, creating regular jobs for about 3,000 members in the locality.

The association maintains capital support activities to help women develop their family economy from savings, capital pooling groups, savings emulation movements... Up to now, the amount of savings has reached over 3.8 billion VND. Many savings models have been implemented by members at branches and association groups, such as: Raising piggy banks, capital pooling... From these models, more than 900 poor women and women in difficult circumstances have been helped to improve their lives.

In the 2025-2030 term, the Women's Union of Hon Dat commune strives to annually help 10 households with women escape poverty and multidimensional near-poverty; support 1 business household owned by women to register to convert into an enterprise; mobilize and support 20 households to meet the criteria of "Family of 5 haves, 3 cleans". The Union registers and implements 2 projects/tasks.

Every year, each Association organizes or coordinates the organization of at least one propaganda activity to raise awareness and capacity on science , technology development, innovation and national digital transformation for cadres, members and women.

By the end of the term, the Commune Women's Union strives to have 90% of victims of domestic violence and gender-based violence detected and have access to at least one of the basic support services; support 100% of women and girls who are victims of domestic violence and victims of human trafficking who have returned and are detected to have access to at least one social assistance service...
