At this time, people in Na Lung village, Trinh Tuong commune are entering the taro harvest season to sell to traders. In 2025, the whole village will plant more than 60 hectares of taro, expected to bring a significant income to the people. However, to enter this production area, people have to overcome a bumpy, rocky road of about 3 km long with many steep sections. This is also an important branch road connecting the villages of Tan Long, Nam Chon, Din Peng, Ta Cau Lieng and Seo Phin Than.

Despite carefully choosing a manual transmission vehicle and having a lot of experience driving on difficult roads, when going uphill on a slippery road with severe water erosion, Ms. Ban Thi Hiep, from Na Lung village, still fell off her bike. In pain from the injury on her elbow and the scratch on her bike, Ms. Hiep shared: Taro is the main crop and also the main source of income for the people of Na Lung. During the harvest season in October - November, the road leading to the production area is degraded and severely damaged, making travel very difficult. People hope that the road will be repaired soon so that traders can conveniently come and buy and transport taro to the main road will be less difficult.

Not only the people of Na Lung village are worried that the road deterioration will affect the taro harvest, but people in the inner villages also face many obstacles when they have to travel on this road every day to get to the commune. The reason is that the new concrete road, which is the main axis to the villages, has a steep slope, is very slippery and dangerous when it rains, and another section has been damaged by floods. Therefore, most people are forced to follow the old branch road to get to the commune center.
Mr. Ly A Minh, a resident of Tan Giang village, shared: I have to go to Vy Kem village but the main concrete road is too steep, and slippery when it rains, so I can't go. This road is badly damaged, it's very difficult to ride a motorbike, even easier to walk. People hope the commune will repair it soon to make traveling less dangerous.
Mr. Ly A Cuong, Secretary of the Na Lung village Party Cell, said: Tan Long - Vy Kem road is a branch road that not only connects 5 inner villages of Trinh Tuong commune but also serves production, passing through the fields of many households, with a total length of about 3 km. In the past, to facilitate the transportation of agricultural products, people joined hands to contribute funds to open the road. However, after a period of use and being affected by floods, the road has seriously degraded. People really hope that the Party Committee and government of Trinh Tuong commune will have a repair plan to make traveling and transporting agricultural products more convenient.
Discussing this issue with us, Mr. Vu Ba Duy, Vice Chairman of Trinh Tuong Commune People's Committee, said: Tan Long - Vy Kem route was severely affected by storm No. 3 ( Yagi ) in 2024 and recent floods, so people's travel and trade of goods encountered many difficulties. We have surveyed, designed and are preparing a dossier to request early upgrading and repair of this route to ensure traffic, as well as promote trade of goods in the commune.

In my opinion, Trinh Tuong commune authorities need to soon have a plan to repair the above road, both to ensure the safety of people's travel and to create favorable conditions for harvesting and transporting agricultural products in the coming time.
