Xiaomi 14 Ultra launched with outstanding camera power

According to GSMArena , the Xiaomi 14 Ultra has improved design. The product offers three back cover styles, of which the faux leather style applies to black and white, and weighs 224.4 grams (3 grams lighter than the Xiaomi 13 Ultra). The blue model is equipped with a Dragon Crystal back cover and weighs 229.5 grams. Finally, the Titanium special edition weighs 229.6 grams and uses the same grade 5 titanium frame material as the iPhone 15 Pro.

The rear camera block is the highlight of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra. The company retains the 50 MP quad-camera formula with a 0.5x + 1x + 3.2x + 5x setup and almost all the hardware from its predecessor. The main sensor is still a 1-inch type but is the latest Sony LYT-900 with a nicer design and faster reading speed. It still uses a 23mm dual-aperture lens but has an f/1.63-f/4.0 range that captures up to 136% more light than on the Xiaomi 13 Ultra. The main camera can shoot Ultra RAW photos using all algorithms and is saved as a DNG file with full image data.

The 3.2x optical zoom (f/1.8) and 5x periscope zoom (f/2.5) cameras share the same 1/2.5-inch Sony IMX858 sensor with the ultra-wide camera (f/1.8). The Xiaomi 14 Ultra can do 30x AI-powered Ultra Zoom, which Xiaomi says is superior to the competition when looking at what was demonstrated at the launch. The Leica camera lens is called Summilux by Xiaomi.

The Xiaomi 14 Ultra offers similar video recording specs to the Galaxy S24, including 4K at both 60 fps and 120 fps (main camera only), as well as 8K video.

The phone has a 6.73-inch 1,440 x 3,200 pixel LTPO AMOLED display with a maximum refresh rate of 120 Hz, Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support, but offers better brightness at 3,000 nits compared to 2,600 nits on its predecessor.

Xiaomi calls the glass layer on top of the screen Shield Glass and says it's 10 times more resistant to drops. The corners of the screen are gently curved on all sides, which Xiaomi calls an All Around Liquid display.

In terms of hardware, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, up to 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of internal memory. Better cooling thanks to a 3x larger vapor chamber. The device runs HyperOS based on Android 14. The larger 5,300 mAh battery offers up to 90W wired charging and 80W wireless charging. The battery is protected by G1 and P2 battery booster chips.

Special variant with frame made of titanium

All versions of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra feature a T1 signal booster chip that optimizes cellular, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth connections. The Xiaomi 14 Ultra Titanium Special Edition supports two-way satellite communication.

The Xiaomi 14 Ultra comes in blue, black and white in three configurations: 12/256 GB for 830 EUR, 16/512 GB for 900 EUR and 16 GB/1 TB for 1,000 EUR. The Titanium variant is sold for 1,130 EUR.
