Innovation and digital transformation are the driving forces for Lai Chau's development

In recent times, Lai Chau province has made efforts to synchronously and effectively deploy many solutions to promote innovation and digital transformation and Project 06. Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee has issued many important policies contributing to promoting digital transformation, especially advising the Provincial Party Committee to issue a Resolution of the Provincial Party Committee on the digital transformation program of Lai Chau province for the period 2021 - 2025 with a vision to 2030, Directive No. 20-CT/TU of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee on strengthening leadership and direction of the implementation of the "Project on developing applications of data on population, identification and electronic authentication, serving national digital transformation for the period 2022 - 2025, with a vision to 2030".

Lai Chau province has directed the establishment of community digital technology teams in communes, villages, and hamlets, supporting people in using smartphones, accessing online public services, and utilities of Project 06; organizing digital skills training and e-commerce for tens of thousands of people, helping to bring nearly 2,000 agricultural products to e-commerce platforms, opening up development opportunities for people and businesses in socio -economic development.

The movements of “Youth Innovation”, “Women Start-ups”, “Farmers Apply New Technology” are being widely deployed, arousing the spirit of innovation in the whole society. Telecommunications enterprises such as Viettel, VNPT, Mobifone, Lai Chau Provincial Post Office and other enterprises are and will continue to accompany the province in investing in infrastructure, providing high-speed Internet coverage, and supporting people and businesses to access digital technology.

At the Workshop, many profound, enthusiastic and practical opinions focused on solutions such as promoting the role of mass organizations in inspiring creativity; innovation in education and training; developing digital infrastructure; promoting e-commerce; applying virtual assistants, data analysis platforms and smart algorithms and Project 06 in management, operation, serving people and businesses.

At the workshop, Mr. Le Van Luong, Chairman of Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee, emphasized that implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW is an urgent and long-term task for the entire political system, the business community and each Lai Chau resident. Each agency, unit and locality needs to concretize it with programs, plans and practical actions, taking the effectiveness of serving people and businesses as the center, as a measure of the success of digital transformation. Thereby, strongly spreading the spirit of innovation among the entire population, promoting the intellectual strength, will and aspiration of Lai Chau people. Continuing to mobilize resources from all economic sectors to build a developing innovation ecosystem, digital government, digital economy and digital society.

With high political determination, strong innovation thinking and drastic and synchronous actions, the Chairman of Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee believes that Lai Chau will have many successes in innovation and digital transformation, contributing to the successful implementation of the goal of rapid and sustainable development, as set out in the spirit of the Resolution of the 15th Lai Chau Provincial Party Congress.
