Yen Nhi missed out on top 22 of Miss Grand International 2025

(Dan Tri) - On the evening of October 18, the final round of the Miss Grand International 2025 contest took place in Bangkok (Thailand). Vietnam's representative - Yen Nhi - failed to make it to the top 22.

In the final night of Miss Grand International 2025, 77 beauties from all over the world went through the following rounds: Swimsuit performance, speech on the topic of ending war and violence, evening gown performance and behavior. From there, the judges selected the top 22, top 10, top 5 and the titles of runner-up and beauty queen.

After a vibrant performance with reigning Miss Christine Juliane Opiaza opening the competition night, 77 beauties strode on stage and had a unique name-calling performance.

Immediately after that, the top 22 of Miss Grand International 2025 were announced, including: Brazil, Thailand, Philippines, Ghana, Japan, England, Guatemala, Dominican Republic, Czech Republic, Martinique, Indonesia, France, Zambia, Paraguay, Laos, Tanzania, Mexico, Venezuela, Belgium, Spain, USA, Ecuador.

Before the final round, Yen Nhi - Vietnam's representative - was in the top 8 of the Country's Power of the Year voting, top 20 of the National Costume Performance, top 20 of the Swimsuit Performance. She missed out on the Speech and Talent categories.

Nguyen Thi Yen Nhi (born 2004) was crowned Miss Grand Vietnam 2025 in mid-September. She has 2 weeks to prepare for Miss Grand International 2025.

Before becoming a beauty queen, Yen Nhi was a photo model, worked with many fashion brands and won second place in a photo contest. The 21-year-old beauty is 1.72m tall, with measurements of 81-64-92cm.

Yen Nhi is currently a 3rd year student majoring in Tourism and Travel Services Management, Van Hien University (HCMC).

Before the final round, the Organizing Committee announced the winner of the Country's Power of the Year category. That was the Philippines beauty - Emma Tiglao. She was also the first representative to enter the top 20 before the final night.

The Country's Power of the Year voting is decided by “likes” on the Miss Grand International Facebook and Instagram pages.

According to the rules of the Organizing Committee of the contest, the winners of the sub-categories such as: Talent, Debate, Swimsuit Show, National Costume Show, Country's Power of the Year all have the opportunity to go straight to the top 20. In the Miss Popular Vote (Most Favorite Contestant) paid voting section, the winner goes straight to the top 10.

The President of Miss Grand International revealed that his criteria for selecting the winner is 4B. Accordingly, the crowned beauty must possess 4 elements: Beauty, Body, Brain and Business.

Miss Grand International was first held in 2013, founded by Mr. Nawat Itsaragrisil, aiming at the message "End violence and bring world peace".

The Vietnamese representative with the best performance at Miss Grand International is Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien. She was crowned in the 2021 season. In the 2024 season, the Vietnamese representative - Que Anh - did not make it to the top.
