Zeekr 001 super fast charging version launched - 7 minutes charge to 80% battery

Chinese electric car company Zeekr has just attracted attention when announcing an upgraded version of the Zeekr 001 sedan with the fastest charging capability in the world today.

The most outstanding feature of the new generation Zeekr 001 is the application of 900V electrical structure combined with new battery technology "Golden Brick", allowing the car to charge from 10% to 80% in just 7 minutes.

This is considered an impressive number for a large 95kWh battery pack, not the small, low-capacity batteries commonly found in fast-charging vehicles. The new Zeekr 001 2026 also supports charging capacities of up to 1,140kW.

In the US, only the Tesla Megacharger system dedicated to the Semi pickup truck has achieved a comparable level. In China, Zeekr has begun deploying 1,300kW charging stations to support the new model.

The Zeekr 001 version uses a 95 kWh battery and is equipped with an all-wheel drive system (AWD) with two electric motors that produce up to 912 horsepower. The car is capable of accelerating from 0-100 km/h in just 2.83 seconds – performance approaching supercar level.

According to CLTC standards, the car can travel 710 km per charge, while the 103 kWh battery version (using CATL's Qilin technology) reaches 762 km but the charging time is slower (10% to 80% takes about 10 minutes).

Not only strong in performance, the new Zeekr 001 also has a powerful interior upgrade: panoramic glass ceiling with integrated LED lights simulating the starry sky inspired by the Rolls-Royce super luxury car line.

The car also has a 39.3-inch HUD screen, a large central entertainment screen, a 13-inch digital clock cluster and an 8-inch secondary screen for the rear seats.

Zeekr has not yet announced a specific price for this new 001 version, but it is expected that the first cars will be delivered in the next few days.
