
Gia Lai province's working delegation of 62 medical staff went to support provinces affected by natural disasters.
The working group consisted of 62 officials from medical units in Gia Lai province, including 2 officials from the Provincial Center for Disease Control and 60 officials from the Medical Centers. The group was divided into 2 teams, each with 31 members, led by the Director of Quy Nhon Medical Center and the Director of Phu Cat Medical Center, directly supporting the 2 provinces of Thai Nguyen and Cao Bang from October 11-17. The Director of the Department of Health participated and directed the activities of the group from October 11-13.
The mission of the delegation is to coordinate with local health sectors to carry out environmental sanitation activities, disinfect water sources, prevent epidemics, distribute medicine and communicate health education to people in flooded areas.
Regarding supplies, the province supported 600 kg of Chloramine B (300 kg for each province) from the reserve of the Provincial Center for Disease Control; 4,000 family medicine bags (2,000 bags for each province) sponsored by Binh Dinh Pharmaceutical and Medical Equipment Joint Stock Company (Bidiphar). Hung Vuong Gia Lai Hospital supported transportation for the working delegation from Noi Bai Airport (Hanoi) to work locations and vice versa.

Essential goods and medicines were packaged on the night of October 9.
Along with that, in order to share the difficulties with the localities that suffered heavy damage due to storm No. 11, the People's Committee of Gia Lai province decided to support 1 billion VND for each province: Thai Nguyen, Lang Son, Cao Bang and Bac Ninh. Thus, up to now, Gia Lai province has supported a total of 10 billion VND for the northern provinces affected by this natural disaster.
Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan acknowledged and commended the proactive and flexible spirit of the leaders of the health sector in implementing tasks, along with the dedication, responsibility and affection of the team of officers, doctors and nurses participating in the working delegation.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee expressed his hope that the members of the delegation would promote the spirit of solidarity, discipline, and effective coordination with the health sector of neighboring localities, excellently complete assigned tasks, and contribute to supporting people in flood-hit areas to soon overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives.
