EVNNPT established two working groups to command and respond to storm No. 5 in the storm's eye.

(Chinhphu.vn) - The National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) has set up two working groups to go to the storm's eye to take command and proactively respond to emergency situations of storm No. 5 (international name KAJIKI).

The first working delegation was led by Mr. Pham Le Phu, General Director of EVNNPT, along with leaders of specialized departments and leaders of Power Transmission Company 1 on duty in Thanh Hoa and Nghe An.

The second working group was led by Mr. Luu Viet Tien, Deputy General Director, along with leaders of specialized departments and leaders of Power Transmission Company 1 on duty in Quang Binh and Ha Tinh.

Assigning two working groups to be on duty and command on-site to quickly and promptly handle any storms that impact the power transmission grid.

According to reports from the units, up to this point, all preparations for responding to storm No. 5 have been completed by the units. Currently, 100% of the power line and transformer station staff are on duty at the unit headquarters to be ready to respond when there is an emergency.

At the inspection session on the morning of August 25, 2025, EVNNPT leaders requested units to concentrate and not be subjective in ignoring the complicated and unpredictable developments of storm No. 5.

At the same time, all human resources, materials, and machinery are ready to handle the incident immediately when electrical safety conditions are met. EVNNPT leaders also pay special attention to the storm circulation after the storm passes, which can cause prolonged heavy rain, so during operation, special attention must be paid to the safety of people and equipment.
