Speaking at the meeting, Major General Doan Xuan Bo said: Since the 70th Anniversary of the People's Army Newspaper's Traditional Day (2020), after 5 years, the generations of the Newspaper have met again in large numbers. Everyone was moved, proud, and very happy, but also sad thinking about and remembering the previous generations who, according to the law of life, have left us.

Many of them were in poor health and had to stay in one place, unable to move to attend the meeting. Seeing them with our own eyes, the war journalists who once fought and died, facing countless dangers, but their smiles were still bright and their eyes were now old and weak, each representative of the Newspaper who visited them was choked with emotion, wanting to share many things with them, but now could not...

Major General Doan Xuan Bo said that towards the 75th anniversary of the Traditional Day, the Newspaper has carried out many tasks, such as organizing meetings in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and the upcoming Anniversary Ceremony at the Ministry of National Defense Hall; reporting to the Party and State leaders; promoting propaganda (making traditional films, 9 films about 9 journalists - martyrs, People's Armed Forces Heroes of the Newspaper...).

The Editor-in-Chief emphasized that the 75-year tradition of the People's Army Newspaper is very proud, which can be summarized in 3 things:

Firstly, the tradition of the People's Army Newspaper first started on December 27, 1944 with the birth of the "Sound of Guns" newspaper, which was only 5 days after the founding day of the Vietnam Propaganda Liberation Army, showing the respect of the Party and the Army for the press. At that time, when there were no military forces or branches, there was already the People's Army Newspaper.

Second, the People's Army Newspaper was born in a special situation, when most of the people were illiterate, but the first leaders of the Newspaper were all great intellectuals, so the People's Army Newspaper was a newspaper with great cultural scope and depth right from the day it was born. From that good "foundation", over the past 81 years (since 1944), the People's Army Newspaper has always been a political and cultural newspaper, not simply a newspaper for combat training.

Third, the People's Army Newspaper always tells young people that the newspaper must have the breath of life, be connected to the unit, the army, and the society. This was most clearly demonstrated through 33 issues at the Dien Bien Phu front.

In the past as well as at present, the People's Army Newspaper has always been worthy of being the leading press agency in traditional and non-traditional security situations (such as natural disasters and epidemics). People's Army Newspaper reporters, from old to young, have rushed into the most dangerous and arduous places, ready to "face" all situations, have plans to make and publish newspapers in all circumstances, at all costs and by all means to complete the task. The spirit of "journalist - soldier" has always been maintained and promoted.

Currently, the People's Army Newspaper is developing steadily, and has received special attention from the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, and the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army in terms of organization and staffing (establishment of new departments and divisions), and facilities (complete and modern press equipment), which is very encouraging. Everyone is in high spirits, ready to contribute, internally united, united, loving, and helping each other, all conscious of building a strong agency, moving forward to become a key, multimedia media agency.

Major General Doan Xuan Bo pointed out that the People's Army Newspaper determined that, in order to maintain and promote the identity and prestige of the newspaper, professional development is the most fundamental thing; aiming for news and articles with short words, deep content, pioneering in short writing, good content. The People's Army Newspaper maintains its position every day, while focusing on developing the Electronic People's Army Newspaper, proactively expanding communication channels, entering social networks (facebook, youtube, tiktok, zalo, instagram) to attract a large number of readers, viewers, listeners. The newspaper pays attention to investing in social, sports, and charity activities (building charity houses, schools; giving money, gifts...).

Major General Doan Xuan Bo concluded: As time passes, each generation is proud of the young people, because there is always something "indescribable" when each person sets foot in the "house" of the People's Army Newspaper, they all have a "burning passion for the profession", constantly "burning", tirelessly dedicating themselves to the People's Army Newspaper.

On behalf of generations of leaders, cadres, reporters, editors, workers, and soldiers of the People's Army Newspaper through the ages, Lieutenant General Le Phuc Nguyen, former Editor-in-Chief of the People's Army Newspaper, shared: "We are extremely proud to see that today's generation has worthyly succeeded the previous generations, with many innovations and creativity in the new era. We have full confidence that the Newspaper will reach new heights."

Lieutenant General Le Phuc Nguyen sadly said: Many of the "2x" and "3x" generations of elders have passed away, but their names, images, and examples are always a source of inspiration for today's generation. Generations of the People's Army Newspaper are very proud to be members of the Newspaper, standing shoulder to shoulder, joining hands and hearts, contributing their efforts, intelligence, and blood to build the newspaper. From Khau Dieu (Thai Nguyen) in the past to No. 7 Phan Dinh Phung today, the current generation has increasingly mastered modern journalism technology, continuing the tradition, maintaining the "unique" and "core" identity and tradition of the Newspaper, passed down from generation to generation.

"After 36 years working at the Newspaper, I am happy and proud to have dedicated my best years to the People's Army Newspaper; I thank and express my gratitude to the generations who have helped and supported me in my journalism career. Returning to normal life, we will keep in mind to maintain and promote the fine traditions of the People's Army Newspaper," Lieutenant General Le Phuc Nguyen shared.
