On the morning of September 9, the Vietnam Culinary Culture Association announced the launch of the program to award Vietnamese culinary culture titles. Accordingly, the most important category is "Vietnamese culinary culture artisan" which will be selected at 3 levels: Vietnamese culinary culture artisan, elite Vietnamese culinary culture artisan and national Vietnamese culinary culture artisan.

These are official and prestigious professional titles, awarded to individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the culinary field, meeting the criteria of talent, dedication, social influence and spirit of preserving cultural heritage.

In addition, the program will consider and honor two categories: Vietnamese culinary culture ambassador and Vietnamese culinary culture researcher.

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Ky, Chairman of the Vietnam Culinary Culture Association, said that honoring culinary culture titles is not only a tribute to those who have devoted their lives to their homeland, but also a strategic step to affirm the Vietnamese culinary brand.

"This is a strong driving force to bring the quintessence of homeland cuisine together with the goal of making Vietnam a leading destination for culture and culinary tourism ," said Mr. Ky.

Mr. La Quoc Khanh, Permanent Vice President and General Secretary of the Vietnam Culinary Culture Association, announced the criteria for candidates to achieve the above titles. Candidate profiles will be evaluated by a professional council consisting of experts, researchers, leading artisans, representatives of press agencies and cultural managers.

Vietnamese culinary culture artisans are people with extensive knowledge, understanding the origin, cultural significance, and history of cuisine. They have skillful skills, the ability to create and elevate food/drink. They are the ones who teach and spread culinary cultural values, preserving national cultural identity through cuisine.

To achieve this title, candidates need to ensure the following criteria: have research works; research and restoration materials; teach and disseminate knowledge; advise on conservation policies and projects; have a positive impact on the community, society and media.

The elite artisans of Vietnamese culinary culture are those who have made outstanding and typical contributions to preserving, developing and teaching the values ​​of Vietnamese culinary culture; are skilled; creative, inspirational and have a profound influence domestically or internationally.

To achieve this title, candidates need to ensure the following criteria: professional contributions; community and social impact; international promotion ability; professional ethics, personal image, pioneering and creative.

National Culinary Culture Artist is the most noble title given to those with outstanding skills and knowledge, making outstanding contributions to the preservation, development, creation and dissemination of the value of national culinary heritage internationally. They also play a master role in teaching, researching, connecting the community and elevating culinary culture; typical representatives of Vietnamese culinary culture, contributing to building the national image.

To achieve this title, candidates need to meet the criteria of heritage and technology, have creativity and new contributions, have training and vocational training, spread Vietnamese cuisine internationally and have a personal heritage profile.

The time for receiving applications, public opinions and scoring lasts from August 10 to October 30. The ceremony to honor Vietnamese culinary culture artisans is expected to take place in November 2025.
