According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple distributors will begin mass production of the next generation of AirTag from the fourth quarter of 2024. More than 3 years ago, the first generation of AirTag was launched on the market, with a listed price of 29 USD.

Mr. Kuo revealed that the new AirTag model will also be compatible with the recently introduced Vision Pro glasses model of Apple, integrated as part of the "bitten apple" company's spatial computing ecosystem. However, the expert did not provide details about the new device or the features that will appear on Apple's positioning product line.

AirTag được quan tâm vì khả năng định vị khá chính xác vị trí theo thời gian thực

AirTag is of interest because of its ability to locate quite accurately in real time.

AirTag currently on the market is equipped with the U1 chip produced by Apple itself, supporting the ability to accurately locate the location where this device is placed. Expert Ming-Chi Kuo once revealed that the iPhone 15 series also upgraded the Ultra Wideband chip, a move that made experts believe that Apple would upgrade the chip to the U2 generation on both the iPhone and the new AirTag.

There's still more than a year until the second-generation AirTag enters "mass production," so product details could continue to leak in the coming months.

In Vietnam, AirTag is being sold by authorized dealers (AARs) for between VND690,000 and VND790,000 each or a set of 4 for about VND2.5 million - not a small price for a device that only has the function of locating belongings when attached.
