Help farmers grasp the production process
In order for farmers to understand and comply with the production process and clean agricultural products , recently, the Department of Quality, Processing and Market Development (CL,CB&PTTT), the Department of Agriculture and Environment of the province, organized 28 propaganda and guidance classes on food safety for farmers in the province. Thereby, to raise awareness, knowledge and practical skills, help farmers produce safe agricultural products, minimize the risk of food poisoning, and protect the health of consumers. For livestock and crop farming households, it is necessary to pay attention to the safe and correct use of pesticides; absolutely do not use antibiotics and banned chemicals in livestock farming.
Farmers in Thi Tran A hamlet, Hoa Binh commune are instructed on safe agricultural production.
Mr. Truong Van Qui, Head of the Processing and Market Development Department, Department of Quality Control, CB&PTTT of the province, said: “For farmers, the Department is concerned about production conditions to ensure safety right from the first stage. For cultivation, livestock, aquaculture, fishing and salt production activities, the initial production stage is very important, because if people, regardless of profit, still use antibiotics and banned chemicals in this stage, then in the preliminary processing and processing stages, they will not be able to eliminate these substances. Therefore, the Department focuses on promoting and mobilizing farmers to raise awareness and responsibility to produce and supply clean and safe agricultural products to the market.”

Hoa Binh Commune has been provided with 6 training courses on food safety knowledge in the production process by the provincial Department of Food Safety and Hygiene, thereby contributing to raising awareness of local farmers. Mr. Tran Giao Linh, a farmer in Thi Tran B Hamlet, Hoa Binh Commune, said: “I am raising breeding female ducks, the feed for ducks is usually rice bran, broken rice, and ground banana trees. When I was trained, I learned to take advantage of other products such as green vegetables and leftover food to make feed for ducks. But absolutely do not use antibiotics in animal husbandry, do not use toxic chemicals, so that the product has better quality and is safe for the health of users.”
Support businesses to comply with safe processing
For agricultural processing facilities, the provincial Department of Quality Control, Inspection and Quarantine requires strict hygiene assurance from the factory, machinery, equipment, and tools used for preliminary processing and product processing. In addition, people involved in processing must have regular health check-ups; use safe materials, do not use prohibited additives; store at appropriate temperatures to avoid re-infection...
The Da Giau Dried Shrimp Production Facility, Hamlet 2, Lang Tron Ward, was inspected by the working group of the Provincial Department of Quality Control, Inspection and Quarantine, and instructed on product packaging, label design... so that when the product is sold on the market, it is convenient to trace the origin , ensuring consumer rights.

Mr. Pham Van Giau, owner of Da Giau Dried Shrimp Production Facility, said: “Fresh shrimp are bought, cleaned, put into a pot to boil for a certain amount of time, then put into a dryer, dried and then put through the shell-breaking machine. The processing is almost done by machine, only the shrimp screening and sizing steps require human labor. The workers here are provided with labor protection and have regular health check-ups. Recently, the Department came to the facility to take water samples and product samples for testing. Our facility currently has 2 products that meet 3-star OCOP quality standards.”
The provincial Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries is currently managing 768 establishments producing and trading agricultural, forestry and fishery products. The Department has been implementing a project to promote the export of these products, supporting the design of product labels and packaging for establishments, in order to improve competitiveness and expand the market.

Mr. Truong Van Qui added: "This time, in addition to propaganda, the Department also supports production facilities in designing product packaging according to standards, with QR codes to trace product origins; taking water samples and product samples at processing facilities for testing, to ensure products meet safety standards."
Strengthening inspection, propaganda, guidance and support for farmers and production facilities has helped raise awareness and compliance with production and processing processes, contributing to building brands and trademarks of clean and safe agricultural products. This not only ensures that products meet safety standards for domestic consumers but also aims to meet the strict requirements and standards of demanding export markets, thereby enhancing the value and position of Vietnamese agricultural products./ .
