Bach Long remembers the years living with reformed opera

Bach Long's memories drift back to the beautiful days of the past. Bach Long was born into a family with 100 years of tradition, attached to Cau Quan communal house (HCMC).

He remembers the time when cai luong videos were still popular, he had so much work to do. At that time, overseas Vietnamese who missed their homeland continuously ordered companies to make cai luong plays and CDs.

If in the genre of social psychological reformed opera, the person in charge and responsible for implementation is often the late artist Diep Lang, then in the field of traditional reformed opera, it is the late artists Thanh Tong and Bach Mai.

Bach Long said: "My brother Nam Thanh Tong will be responsible for the script and directing.

The photo that the cai luong lovers posted online is the play Manh Le Quan . Ms. Le Thuy plays Manh Le Quan, my brother Nam plays the king, and I and Mr. Truong Son play the spy roles.

Whenever Cai Luong is mentioned, artist Bach Long gets emotional. It reminds him of his ancestors, of his family's roots. Cai Luong has been ingrained in his blood and flesh, from his mother's womb, Bach Long was imbued with the singing profession without even realizing it.

So he had the opportunity to live in the prosperous, golden age of reformed opera. He was able to follow and learn from skilled artists, and he founded the famous Bach Long Children's Troupe in the reformed opera village, training and nurturing a generation of young talents for reformed opera in the future such as Que Tran, Tu Suong, Trinh Trinh, Vu Luan, Le Thanh Thao, Binh Tinh, Linh Ty, Chan Cuong...

But life is unpredictable. One day, the stage performance of Cai Luong went down, Cai Luong videos also went down, forcing Bach Long to take unexpected turns.

The Stage Turn and Strange Women

Bach Long sadly recalled the time when he was unemployed when Cai Luong was in decline. Bach Long's life was extremely deadlocked at that time. Then one day, a woman brought by Chan Cuong's student came to Cau Quan temple.

Meeting Bach Long, she pointed at his face and said: "Don't think too much, your path ahead is still bright!". Then she told him her life story, the story of a pregnant woman who was suspected of having to crawl and live in a cemetery.

But she did not give up but tried to work hard, no matter what happened she worked hard to raise her child, until one day the door of life opened, making her and her child live happier.

Listening to the woman's story, Bach Long suddenly thought that she was a woman, in a situation ten times worse than his, but she could still endure it, so he should not give up.

Suddenly after that conversation, Mr. Huynh Anh Tuan of Idecaf theater called Bach Long to ask for "rescue". The play The Three Musketeers had sold out all 10 shows but suddenly lost actors. With the suggestion of director Hung Lam, Mr. Tuan contacted Bach Long.

For Bach Long, they were his "saviors" at the moment he had negative thoughts about being unemployed and having no money to live.

That was also the turn that Bach Long did not expect when he officially entered the drama stage, and today he has become one of the veteran artists of Idecaf Drama Theater.

Bach Long confided that in his life he had met very special women. When he first left Cau Quan to stay at a boarding house, the boarding house had problems, he was worried about where to go when he suddenly received a phone call.

It was a strange woman who introduced him to a new boarding house. Bach Long said that the boarding house was extremely lucky. Since he started living there, he has been getting jobs so much that he doesn't have to worry about going hungry.

Strangely, later when his job got better, he really wanted to meet again to say thank you but could not find those two special women.

Bach Long shared that in his life he has also received a lot of help from other women. His student, artist Binh Tinh, still regularly sends his teacher 10 million VND every month to help him pay for rent and living expenses.

Those favors moved Bach Long, and those who loved Bach Long told him how he must have lived to have so many people love him.
