Implementing the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction, in recent years, the Party Committee and government of Bang Gia commune, Ha Hoa district have effectively implemented many programs and policies to support production development, build infrastructure, and create favorable conditions for people to escape poverty.

Bang Gia commune has a natural area of ​​over 836 hectares with a total population of over 4,400 people. Determining the core goal of sustainable poverty reduction is to increase income, improve the material and spiritual life of the people, the Party Committee and the commune government have implemented many solutions to promote the local internal strength, taking advantage of support resources from programs and projects. In order to create favorable conditions to help people overcome difficulties in capital investment for economic development, the commune government regularly coordinates with the district Social Policy Bank and credit institutions to help people access preferential credit programs, support loans, develop production, and escape poverty.

In economic development, Bang Gia focuses on promoting internal resources, based on the potential and strengths of the locality. Determining that agriculture and forestry are still the main economic sectors, the Party Committee and the commune government mobilize people to actively change the structure of crops and livestock, develop agricultural production towards commodities; introduce new varieties of plants and animals suitable to soil conditions such as green squash, chili... into production, replacing old varieties with low economic efficiency; increase mechanization to help improve productivity and product quality to ensure food security for people and create a supply of agricultural products on the market. In the commune, many models of comprehensive farm economy and livestock have appeared: BBB cows, chickens, pigs... with stable income at a high level. Thanks to that, every year, many economic development targets are achieved and exceeded the set plan.

Along with focusing on developing agricultural and forestry production, the Party Committee and the communal government have focused on directing people to expand trade and service activities. At the same time, they encourage the development of diverse industrial and handicraft industries, suitable to market needs such as wood processing, welding, mechanical processing, and garment, contributing to job creation and increasing income for people.

After many efforts, up to now, all socio-economic aspects in Bang Gia have been increasingly developed, the rural appearance has been increasingly prosperous, the material and spiritual life of the people has been improved and enhanced. The average income of the commune reached nearly 50 million VND/person/year, the poverty rate in the commune decreased to 5.42%; near-poor to 2.59%. In 2020, Bang Gia commune was recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as meeting the new rural standards. This is an achievement that demonstrates the efforts to overcome difficulties and solidarity of the entire Party Committee, government and people in the commune, especially in poverty reduction work.
