Storm No. 12 will cause heavy rain over a wide area.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, storm No. 12 is forecast to make landfall in the area from Da Nang to Quang Ngai around October 23 with strong winds of level 6, gusts of level 8; then weaken into a tropical depression on land.

It is forecasted that the day storm No. 12 makes landfall, it will cause widespread heavy rain in the provinces from Ha Tinh to Quang Ngai. Common rainfall: Ha Tinh to North Quang Tri and Quang Ngai: from 200-400 mm, some places over 500 mm; South Quang Tri to Da Nang : 500-700 mm, some places over 900 mm.

From October 23 to 30, a major flood will occur on rivers from Quang Tri to Quang Ngai , causing deep and widespread inundation, along with a high risk of flash floods and landslides.
