Thai newspaper suggests coach Park Hang Seo compete for position with Kiatisuk

Pathum United Club of Thailand has just fired coach Makoto Teguramori (Japanese), after the team's poor performance in the Thai-League since the beginning of the season.

Immediately, Thailand's leading sports newspaper Siam Sport introduced 5 candidates who could replace the Japanese coach. The common point is that all 5 candidates are very famous and have not been tied down to contracts with any professional football team.

Most notable are Coaches Kiatisuk Senamuang (Thailand, former coach of Thailand National Team and HAGL) and Park Hang Seo (South Korea, former coach of Vietnam National Team).

Regarding H LV Park Hang Seo, Siam Sport wrote: "Mr. Park has proven to all of Southeast Asia how good he is during his time in charge of the Vietnamese team from 2017 to early 2023."

"After coach Park Hang Seo left the Vietnam national team, the team's performance has clearly declined. This is a coach who is capable of controlling star players and promoting discipline in the team he leads," Siam Sport added.

As for coach Kiatisuk, Thailand's leading sports daily commented: "Coach Kiatisuk just left the Hanoi Police Club (CAHN) not long ago, so he has time. However, a football enthusiast like "Thai Zico" will not sit still for a long time."

"Coach Kiatisuk had a successful period with the Thai team from 2014 to 2017. At that time, Mr. Kiatisuk helped the Thai team have a very different position. Coach Kiatisuk's advantage is that he has a great influence on the two brightest stars of Pathum United Club, Teerasil Dangda and Chanathip Songkrasin," Siam Sport emphasized.

As for coach Park Hang Seo, just a few days ago, the Malaysian Football Federation (FAM) revealed that Mr. Park was among the 5 shortlisted candidates to lead the country's national team after the AFF Cup 2024.
