In his closing speech, Party Central Committee member and Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung emphasized: Sustainable, creative and inclusive development has become the common goal of many countries in the world and Vietnam is no exception.

The Vietnamese State identifies sustainable development on the basis of culture, with people as the center, and considers foreign affairs and international integration as an important and regular task. On the journey to realizing that goal, the key factor is the need for a peaceful and stable environment and effective cooperation between countries and like-minded partners.

The World Cultural Festival in Hanoi brings together 48 countries and international organizations.

The Minister affirmed that Vietnam is a civilized and heroic nation with thousands of years of history, always loving peace, upholding the spirit of cooperation and stability. Vietnam attaches importance to preserving and promoting the value of cultural heritage, respecting and protecting nature as a way to show gratitude to tradition, and as a foundation to ensure the development rights of future generations, towards the rapid and sustainable development of the country.

The Vietnamese people always carry that mindset and awareness in all international cooperation activities. Vietnam is a proactive and responsible member of UNESCO, actively contributing to international dialogue and activities, and cooperation for peace and development.

Taking place from October 10 to 12, the first World Culture Festival in Hanoi was organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Hanoi People's Committee. With the motto "Culture is the foundation - Art is the means", the festival gathered 48 countries and international organizations with 45 cultural spaces, 34 food stalls, 23 domestic and foreign art troupes, 112 units introducing books and publications and 22 countries participating in the international film screening program.

Aiming to honor cultural diversity and enhance people-to-people exchange, the festival offers a variety of activities such as exhibitions, traditional art performances, fashion shows, culinary experiences, and international film screenings.
