On October 12, the Vietnamese Embassy in Iran, in collaboration with the Asian Mayors Forum, the Tehran City Government and the Tehran Metro Rail Company, held the opening ceremony of a photo exhibition themed “Vietnam: Eternal Beauty and Vitality”. This is one of the events in a series of activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
The exhibition introduces over 20 typical photos of the country, people and culture of Vietnam - from famous landscapes such as Ha Long, Ninh Binh, Da Nang, Hanoi , Ho Chi Minh City..., to everyday moments, traditional festivals and the beauty of modern cities.
The exhibition was held at Tajrish Metro Station - one of Tehran's largest transport hubs. The exhibition helps tens of thousands of passengers every day have the opportunity to admire and feel the beauty of Vietnam, from everyday moments to traditional festivals, cultural heritage and majestic natural landscapes of Vietnam.
Speaking at the opening of the Photo Exhibition, Vietnamese Ambassador to Iran Nguyen Luong Ngoc affirmed that this is one of the practical activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, through which the image of a Vietnam where tradition and modernity blend together, where beauty is created not only from nature and landscape, but also from the strong energy and vitality of the Vietnamese people.
“With more than 17.5 million international visitors in 2024, and an expected 23 million in 2025, Vietnam is increasingly affirming its position as one of the leading destinations in Asia. We always warmly welcome Iranian tourists to visit Vietnam to experience for themselves the beauty, hospitality, strong vitality and rising spirit of the country and people of Vietnam. Today's event is not only a cultural activity, but also a bridge of friendship between the people of Vietnam and Iran - two nations with long-standing civilizations, cherishing peace and looking forward to a future of cooperation and mutual understanding,” Ambassador Nguyen Luong Ngoc emphasized.
According to Mr. Hamidreza Gholamzadeh - Director of Foreign Affairs of Tehran City Government, through the exhibition, Iranian people will have the opportunity to understand more about the beautiful country of Vietnam, its culture, landscapes and dynamically developing cities. We believe that in the coming time, the two sides will have more cultural exchange activities, thereby contributing to further tightening the friendly relations between Iran and Vietnam.

Expressing his honor that Tajrish station was chosen as the venue for the photo exhibition “Vietnam: Beauty and Eternal Vitality”, Mr. Saeed Lotfi – General Director of Tehran Metro Rail Company emphasized: “Iran has more than 40 years of experience in developing and operating the metro system. Tehran alone currently has 9 metro lines with a total length of 500 km; Tajrish station serves about 40,000 passengers per day. With such passenger traffic, the exhibition will certainly help many Iranian people understand more about Vietnam - a friendly country with rich cultural identity.”
The event attracted a large number of people and media agencies to attend. Many Iranian people expressed their interest and curiosity when seeing many beautiful images of a Vietnam with rich cultural identity, a vibrant lifestyle and a prosperous development. The photos of Vietnam displayed at Tajrish Metro Station will continue to be open for the next 3 weeks.
