Dr. Korea Cosmetic Hospital and a series of facilities had their licenses revoked and operations suspended.

On March 25, information from the Inspectorate of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health , the unit has just issued a decision to fine Dr. Korea Cosmetic Hospital Company Limited (12B floor, Cienco 4 building, 180 Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, Ward 6, District 3) due to a series of violations at the Dr. Korea Cosmetic Hospital branch (51A 3/2 street, Ward 11, District 10).

According to the Health Department Inspectorate, Dr. Korea Cosmetic Hospital committed a series of violations, including: Providing medical examination and treatment services beyond the scope of expertise stated in the operating license; Not posting service prices; Registering the names of departments and rooms in the medical examination and treatment facility inconsistently with the licensed records.

This facility also advertised medical examination and treatment services without content about the scope of professional activities stated in the operating license; operated without a signboard as prescribed; did not ensure essential medicines to promptly provide emergency care to patients; and did not keep a medical examination and treatment record fully recorded as prescribed.

With the above series of violations, Dr. Korea Cosmetic Hospital had its operating license revoked for 6 months and was fined 176 million VND. The person in charge of technical expertise of the facility also had his practice certificate revoked for 6 months.

In addition, the facility was also forced to remove and delete advertisements for medical examination and treatment services that lacked content about the scope of professional activities stated in the operating license.

In addition to Dr. Korea Cosmetic Hospital, the Department of Health Inspectorate also announced a series of other individuals and establishments that violated the law. Specifically:

Mr. Tran Vu Hoang Phuong, owner of SERAPHIM Beauty House (6 Yen Do, Ward 1, Binh Thanh District) was fined 75 million VND; Mr. Pham Khanh Tan, owner of Newsky Beauty Salon (69-69A 3/2 Street, Ward 11, District 10) was fined 25 million VND.

These two business owners also had their establishments suspended until they have operating licenses and practitioners have practice certificates.

According to the Health Department Inspectorate, these two business owners both committed similar violations: Using drugs, substances, and devices to intervene in the human body to change skin color, weight, shape, and defects of body parts; tattooing, spraying, and embroidering on the skin using injectable anesthetics at a facility that is not a hospital with a cosmetic specialty, a cosmetic specialty clinic, or other medical examination and treatment facility with a scope of specialized activities in cosmetic specialty.

MQ Import-Export Joint Stock Company (MQ Group) was fined 50 million VND by the Department of Health Inspectorate, had its operating license revoked for 3 months and the professional practice certificate of the person in charge of professional responsibility revoked for 2 months due to violations at the Branch of the Dental Clinic (Lo Lem Dental Clinic - No. 274 Le Van Sy, Ward 14, District 3).

In addition to fining MQ Group, the Health Department Inspectorate also fined Mr. Ho Minh Ghi, an employee working at the dental clinic, VND35 million for examining and treating patients without a practice certificate.
