The unique silver stele depicting winged Scythian gods surrounded by unicorns has amazed archaeologists.

The site is located on a hill on the right bank of the Devitsa River and is a cluster of 19 mounds arranged in two parallel rows stretching from west to east. Photo: @Russian Academy of Sciences.

Since 2010, the site has been systematically studied by specialists from the Don expedition of IA RAS. During the excavation of the cemetery, a number of important discoveries were made. No further artifacts depicting the deities of the Scythian pantheon have been discovered at this site. And this discovery makes an important contribution to archaeological knowledge about the spiritual beliefs of the ancient Scythians.
