
This year's competition attracted more than 300 teams with more than 1,250 contestants from 9 countries, including students from 34 universities and colleges in Vietnam.
In his opening speech, Lieutenant Colonel Trieu Manh Tung, Deputy Director of the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention, emphasized that Vietnam is one of the countries with the fastest digital transformation speed in the world . Cyber security is a solid wall protecting the digital transformation process. The competition helps students better understand career opportunities, as well as the importance of investing and developing skills in this field.

According to Dr. To Hong Nam, Deputy Director of the Department of Science , Technology and Information (Ministry of Education and Training), the competition is not only an academic playground for domestic students but also expands international connections, creating opportunities for exchange and learning expertise between countries. Vietnam is in need of high-quality human resources in the field of cyber security, this competition contributes significantly to that goal.
Immediately after the opening ceremony, the competitive atmosphere heated up as teams entered the online preliminary round with creative strategies and solutions in handling cyber security situations.

At the test sites, the competition atmosphere was serious, focused but full of youthful energy and the desire to conquer. The contestants quickly settled down, checked the system and began to take on the first challenges with a high spirit of determination.
The competition is expected to become a regional forum, contributing to promoting cooperation, developing human resources for cybersecurity and spreading awareness of protecting personal data in the digital age.
This year’s contest, themed “Data Security and Personal Data Protection,” includes two rounds: Preliminary (October 18) held online and Final (November 15) held in person. The question-setting panel consists of leading experts to ensure the practicality and depth of the contest content.
