Mr. Na Ki Hong expressed his deep sympathy to the Party Committee, government and people of Bac Ninh province for the heavy losses caused by recent floods, especially appreciating the province's efforts in overcoming the consequences, restoring production and people's lives after natural disasters.

Although Bac Ninh province was heavily affected by floods, Samsung factories in Bac Ninh as well as enterprises in the province's industrial parks still maintained stable production, which shows the locality's strategic planning vision and risk management capacity, creating solid confidence for investors.

Mr. Na Ki Hong affirmed that Bac Ninh has a special position in Samsung's development strategy. After more than 17 years of Samsung officially investing heavily in Vietnam, with the first mobile phone factory located in Yen Phong Industrial Park, Bac Ninh has become the largest global production base of Samsung Group.

Thereby, contributing significantly to socio -economic development; elevating Vietnam beyond its role as a production base to become a top priority strategic base for Samsung's research and development globally. That result has the strong support and accompaniment of the Vietnamese Government, along with the attention and facilitation of the Party Committee, government and people of Bac Ninh province.

Samsung Vietnam General Director donated 2.5 billion VND to support Bac Ninh province people to overcome flood consequences.

With social responsibility and affection, at the meeting, the General Director of Samsung Vietnam donated 2.5 billion VND to support the people of Bac Ninh province to overcome the consequences of floods (part of the total 10 billion VND that the Group has supported people in provinces in Vietnam affected by natural disasters). In addition, there is 500 million VND supported by officers and employees of Samsung factories in Bac Ninh.

Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Hong Thai sincerely thanked Samsung Group for its concern, sharing and timely support to Bac Ninh province; affirmed that the Group's support funds will be used for the right purpose and effectively to help people quickly restore production and stabilize their lives. He emphasized that in 30 years of investment in Vietnam and 17 years of association with Bac Ninh, Samsung has made important contributions not only to economic development and foreign affairs, but also to fulfilling its social responsibility to the locality.

He informed about the socio-economic development results of the province. Accordingly, in the first 9 months of 2025, Bac Ninh's GRDP reached 10.12%; the PCI index continued to be in the top 5 localities in the country; total state budget revenue reached more than 57 trillion VND, completing the annual estimate; export turnover reached 65.7 billion USD, ranking 2nd out of 34 provinces and cities in the country...

Bac Ninh is focusing on implementing planning orientations, attracting high-tech investment, developing smart urban areas and modern industrial infrastructure. The Provincial Party Secretary requested the General Director and leaders of Samsung Vietnam to consider and pay attention to investing in: Samsung's iconic building in Bac Ninh; establishing a research and technology transfer department at the province's Innovation Center.... Thereby, helping Bac Ninh improve its innovation capacity, localization rate, develop high-quality human resources, promote digital transformation and green, sustainable growth.

With the view that the development of enterprises is the development of the province, Bac Ninh commits to always accompany and create the most favorable conditions for the Group to continue to expand investment, develop sustainably, and contribute positively to the overall growth target of the province; have more resources to take care of the social security of the staff and people facing difficulties in life.
