The Provincial Military Command coordinated to start construction of rural roads in Hai Lang commune.

Delegates performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the project to repair and upgrade the traffic route in Ha Thu village, Hai Lang commune.

The route from National Highway 18A to Ha Dong dike, Ha Thu village is a vital traffic route serving the travel and trade of people in villages of Hai Lang commune and neighboring areas; at the same time, this is a particularly important route in the regional defense posture, ensuring the mobility of forces and vehicles in case of natural disasters, storms and floods and defense and security tasks.

After many years of use, due to the impact of natural disasters, many sections of the road were damaged, muddy, causing danger to traffic. In response to that request, the Provincial Military Command coordinated with the Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group and local authorities to renovate and upgrade the road to help people have a convenient traffic route, develop the economy, improve their lives and meet the national defense and security tasks in the new period.

The road is 944m long, 5.5m wide, concrete and asphalt, with a completed drainage system at a total cost of nearly 4.2 billion VND; of which, 13 Coal Industry Self-Defense Battalions and 7 Self-Defense Companies under the Provincial Military Command supported nearly 1.5 billion VND, the remaining amount is from the Hai Lang commune budget. The project is expected to be completed and put into use before the establishment of the Vietnam People's Army on December 22, 2025.

This is a meaningful activity of the armed forces of Quang Ninh province and the Military Command of the Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group in implementing the movement "The Army joins hands to build new rural areas", joining hands with local Party committees and authorities to complete the National Target Program on new rural construction and sustainable poverty reduction; contributing to strengthening the solidarity between the army and the people, and at the same time is one of a series of meaningful activities towards celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Armed Forces of Military Region 3 (October 31, 1945 - October 31, 2025), the 62nd anniversary of the founding of Quang Ninh province (October 30, 1963 - October 30, 2025) and the 78th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Provincial Armed Forces (October 18, 1947 - October 18, 2025).
